Weatherford is seeking an experienced and driven Logistics Supervisor to oversee our supply chain and transportation operations in the Caribbean. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for organizing, coordinating & overseeing the day-to-day logistics activities, ensuring efficient and compliant processes. Your leadership will be instrumental in maximizing profitability while establishing policies to safeguard the company's assets and investments.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain the highest standards of corporate governance, ensuring ethical conduct and compliance with all relevant policies, laws, regulations, and industry best practices.
  • Prioritize quality, health, safety, security, and environmental protection as core values, never compromising the well-being of employees, processes, customers, or communities.
  • Drive continuous improvement in health, safety, security, and environmental practices, incorporating responsible care, process enhancements, stakeholder inputs, and best business practices.
  • Oversee local and regional Logistics team, coordinating transportation, load scheduling, and timely departures.
  • Ensure accurate and timely processing of customs paperwork and export documentation to meet legal requirements.
  • Communicate with freight forwarders, customers, customs brokers, third-party logistics (3PL) providers and internal teams to ensure timely deliveries
  • Seek cost-effective shipping options and provide timely pricing and delivery information
  • Maintain logistics systems and supply chain databases, effectively utilizing asset and shipment tracking tools.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align logistics planning, control costs, process invoices efficiently, and capture revenue opportunities.
  • Maintain updated records in logistics and ERP systems
  • Provide real-time updates and reporting on shipment status, delivery schedules, and risks
  • Foster effective communication with internal and external stakeholders, clearly conveying expectations, roles, and responsibilities.
  • Support emergency logistics needs in case of operational shutdowns or urgent rig requirements
  • Liaises with Country and product line management regarding performance of logistics
  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and process flows regarding various topics within Logistic and across the Caribbean.

Skills:

  • Proficient in local logistics processes including customs brokerage, freight forwarding, and local trucking for Trinidad, Guyana, & Suriname and relevant oil industry experience.
  • Knowledgeable & experiences in the oil industry
  • Computer literacy and shipping dangerous goods qualifications.
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent follow-up skills
  • Excellent problem solving and analytical skills and ability to work independently with a sense of urgency
  • Proficiency in use of personal computers, Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, Visio and PowerPoint) and e-mail skills
  • Capable of managing and prioritizing multiple time sensitive tasks in a dynamic environment

Qualifications:

  • Required: High School Diploma/GED
  • 5+ years of logistics experience with demonstrable managerial experience in the oil and energy industry.
  • Preferred: Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field.
  • Familiarity with customs regulations and Incoterms
  • Ability to solve problems quickly and effectively
