Petrochemicals: Adani Group is making significant strides in the petrochemical landscape with the establishment of its inaugural petrochemical complex, named Green PVC. This initiative aligns with our broader strategy in the petrochemicals, oil & gas, and downstream sectors.The Petrochemicals Business Unit is spearheading the Green PVC project, which entails a substantial investment of INR 26,000 crore. This investment is focused on integrating the acetylene route to facilitate sustainable polyvinyl chloride (PVC) manufacturing. Currently in the execution phase, the project is on track to deliver its first product by June 2026.

Job Purpose: The IT Security Senior Team Member – PETCHEM is responsible for enhancing the organization’s cybersecurity posture through strategic implementation, governance, and effective vendor management. This role focuses on optimizing budget management and driving operational excellence in cybersecurity, ensuring compliance with governance standards and delivering measurable improvements to security operations

Cybersecurity Strategy And Governance:

Strengthen cybersecurity operations by implementing and refining strategic security initiatives, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives.

Lead the creation and maintenance of governance frameworks that enforce adherence to internal and external security protocols.

Enhance the cybersecurity posture by defining and executing part of the operating plan with measurable outcomes.

Budget Management And Resource Allocation:

Oversee the management of the cybersecurity budget, ensuring effective resource allocation and compliance with financial guidelines.

Consolidate department budgets, securing approval and ensuring financial discipline in the execution of cybersecurity initiatives.

Vendor And Partner Management:

Ensure optimal vendor partnerships by identifying and selecting strategic cybersecurity vendors that meet business needs.

Oversee vendor performance, ensuring compliance with contracts and ensuring timely delivery of services.

Cybersecurity Compliance And Reporting:

Implement automated reporting tools to capture key security metrics, enabling rapid, data-driven decision-making across teams.

Proactively monitor compliance with governance protocols, addressing deviations and ensuring ongoing adherence to security standards.

Project Governance And Operational Excellence:

Ensure cybersecurity projects are delivered successfully, on time, and within scope, aligning with business objectives.

Track project performance against SLAs, manage risks, and ensure projects meet agreed standards for quality and compliance.

Continuous Improvement And Innovation:

Foster operational excellence in cybersecurity by continuously identifying areas for improvement and leading initiatives to optimize security operations.

Use customer feedback and performance metrics to drive enhancements in cybersecurity processes, ensuring high levels of security service satisfaction.

Educational Qualification:

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or a related discipline; Master’s degree preferred in IT Security

Preferable to have certifications / Specialization in IT Security Management (CompTIA SECURITY+, Certified Information Systems Security Professional, GIAC Security Essentials (GSEC), Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), or Certified Information Security Manager (CISM))

Work Experience (Range Of Years):

Minimum 5-10 years’ work experience managing an IT & Information Security portfolio for a large/Mid-size enterprise with overseas operations, and a in leadership/COE position for the IT security function

Experience of Information Security program management across IT domains (Infrastructure, Application, Enterprise Architecture)

Combined IT and security work experience with exposure to systems analysis, application development, systems administration, and robust experience in designing and deploying security solutions

Working knowledge of drafting and implementing cyber security policies and designing new systems

Exposure to designing and delivering training programs, preferably on IT security

Experience of working and liaising with technology partners and IT giants (Security solution providers)

Experience conducting audits, statutory compliance, monitoring, and controls testing

In-depth knowledge of security issues, techniques, and implications across all existing computer platforms
