The Card Product organization is a team of highly talented product and portfolio managers focused on building and launching card products and services at speed – with quality, intent, and a relentless focus on delivering products and services our customers trust and love. As a Vice President, Business Management in the Card and Connected Commerce team, you will have two main focus areas: manage day-to-day business operations with a focus towards enhancing efficiency and effectiveness, and communicate business and product strategy and progress to leaders and stakeholders to build advocacy.
Job Responsibilities
- Manage Card Product Objectives & Key Results, KPIs and other key business results/metrics for the team – partnering across Card Product Team, Technology, Data & Analytics, Design & Customer Experience
- Manage the Card Product & Technology budget in partnership with Finance, tracking burn and delivery, ROI and managing headcount
- Manage key executive and stakeholder updates – responsible for leading material planning and creation in partnership with Product team and extended Quad (e.g., business unit reviews)
- Identify opportunities to help amplify our work across the organization and drive partnership with LOBs and Product teams. Create compelling narratives to tell our story to gain support and engagement
- Manage the Card Controls reporting and issue/risk escalations in partnership with Controls, Risk, Legal & Compliance
- Manage the Card Product operating model – responsible for documentation, implementation, and ongoing strategy and planning for team and partner engagement
- Manage new hire onboarding and training, employee recognition and training
- Own end-to-end delivery of special projects that are critical to success but require deliverables beyond those covered by product owners and other team leads
Required qualifications, capabilities and skills
- 6+ years of experience in business management, strategy, financial services, or product management
- Proven track record in managing complex programs, driving change within large, highly matrixed organizations and managing stakeholders
- Ability to think strategically while still being comfortable diving into the details required to ensure successful execution
- Passion for understanding customer needs and demonstrated ability to drive business results
- Outstanding verbal and written communication
- Ability to thrive in ambiguous situations
- Proven track record of managing risk and controls
- Strong financial acumen with ability to understand and manage organizational financial metrics
- Bachelors or Masters in Business Management or comparable field of study
