Job Summary:
Provides support to thrift shop operations, under the direction and supervision of thrift shop leadership. Carries and positions merchandise in appropriate store locations. Keeps fitting rooms and store orderly and clean. Interacts with customers and is knowledgeable about sales. Makes decisions regarding daily priorities for a work group such as coordinating work activities, monitoring adherence to schedules and reporting resource issues. Provides guidance to staff within the latitude of established work area and policies.
Job Requirements:
Education And Work Experience:
- High School Education/GED or equivalent: Preferred
- Associate’s/Technical Degree or equivalent combination of education/related experience: Preferred
- Five years' related experience: Preferred
Facility Specific License/Certifications:
- Driver's License (DL): Required
Essential Functions:
- Oversees the Thrift Store during the absence of the Thrift Store Supervisor. Is responsible for the cash register, balancing the till at the end of the day and securing the daily income. Assists in marketing/promotion of the thrift store. Supervises and directs the activities of thrift store associates and volunteers using both professional and supervisory discretion and independent judgment.
- Transports priced merchandise from backroom to sales floor. Places merchandise with other merchandise based on category. Refreshes merchandise racks. Maintains fitting rooms, cash register area and overall sales floor orderly. Assists with pricing, sorting, and displaying of all donated merchandise.
- Greets and assists customers. Handles complaints and public inquiries related to the thrift store.
- Coordinates inventory management and operations including managing incoming revenue and outgoing expenses.
- Keeps the store clean, organized and well run.
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
