Armed Security Officer

Description

We are seeking a highly responsible, detail-oriented Armed Security Officer to join our in-house security team. This full-time, in-person role is critical to maintaining the safety and security of our premises, employees, and visitors. The ideal candidate will be POST certified, possess strong situational awareness, and demonstrate sound judgment in high-pressure situations.

Essential Functions:

• Maintain a visible security presence to deter unauthorized access and protect personnel and property
• Monitor surveillance systems, conduct routine patrols, and inspect facilities for signs of intrusion or safety hazards
• Respond promptly to alarms, incidents, or emergencies with appropriate action
• Enforce company policies and procedures regarding access control, visitor management, and safety compliance
• Prepare clear and accurate reports on daily activities, incidents, and observations
• Collaborate with local law enforcement or emergency services as needed
• Ensure security equipment (radios, firearms, protective gear) is maintained and used responsibly
• Support safety drills, evacuation procedures, and emergency preparedness efforts
• May help with snow removal and other general maintenance tasks
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Current POST (Peace Officer Standards and Training) Certification
• Proven experience in armed security, law enforcement, or military service
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
• Ability to pass a background check, drug screening, and firearms qualification
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Physically able to stand, walk, and patrol for extended periods
• Professional demeanor with strong interpersonal skills
