The Distributor Manager is responsible for managing and developing relationships with agents and distributors across the territory. This role focuses on driving sales growth, ensuring that agents and distributors meet sales targets, and aligning distributor strategies with the Company’s overall business objectives. The Distributor Manager will work closely with other departments to ensure the agents and distributors have support and resources they need to be successful. The position will be based in our headquarters in Delft, the Netherlands, and require approximately 25% travel. 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing distributors across the assigned territory;
  • Identify and onboard new distributors to expand market coverage and drive sales growth;
  • Conduct regular business reviews with distributors to assess performance and align future strategies;
  • Set sales targets and key performance indicators (KPIs) for distributors, ensuring alignment with company objectives;
  • Monitor distributor sales performance and provide guidance to achieve targets;
  • Develop and implement sales initiatives and promotional activities to drive growth;
  • Analyze market trends, customer needs, and competitor activities to identify opportunities for growth;
  • Work with distributors to develop and execute localized strategies that align with broader company goals;
  • Provide feedback to internal teams on market conditions and distributor needs;
  • Provide training and support to distributors on product knowledge, sales techniques, and company processes;
  • Ensure distributors have access to necessary marketing materials, sales tools, and resources;
  • Assist distributors in resolving issues related to supply chain, pricing, or customer service;
  • Assist distributors during tradeshows and networking events;
  • Prepare regular reports on distributor performance, market conditions, and sales forecasts;
  • Collaborate with finance to ensure accurate tracking and reporting of sales revenue;
  • Collaborate closely with other internal teams to ensure distributors are fully supported;
  • Participate in cross-functional meetings to align distributor activities with company initiatives;
  • Ensure effective communication between the company and distributors;

Requirements
  • 5-7 years of experience in distributor management, sales, or business development in a related industry;
  • Proven record of managing distributor relationships and driving sales growth;
  • Strong sales acumen with the ability to negotiate contracts and close deals;
  • Ability to set and achieve ambitious sales targets;
  • Deep understanding of the market, including regional differences and distribution channels;
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
  • Ability to present data and strategies to both internal teams and external distributors;
  • Ability to lead and influence distributor teams without direct authority;
  • Strong collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams;
  • Proficient in data analysis and reporting;
  • Ability to make data-driven decisions and provide insights to senior management;
  • Willingness to travel extensively within the territory to meet with distributors and attend industry events;
  • Fluent (reading, writing, speaking) in English and Spanish;

Additional Information:

  • This is an onsite opportunity that must be performed from Delft, the Netherlands.
  • Must be eligible to work in the Netherlands without company sponsorship, now or in the future, for employment-based work authorization. F-1 visa holders with Optional Practical Training (OPT) who will require H-1B status, TNs, or current H-1B visa holders will not be considered. H1-B and green card sponsorship is not available for this position.

Compensation:

  • A reasonable estimate of the current salary range for this position is EUR 65,000 to EUR 80,000 annually.  Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. AEM considers a wide range of factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education, licensure and certifications, key skills as well as other market and business considerations when extending an offer.
