What You’Ll Do:

  • Oversee activities of the accounting department for accurate and timely dissemination of financial management reports including, but not limited to, internal and external monthly financial statements, and annual audits for multiple legal entities.
  • Develop and oversee accounting policies. Should be knowledgeable in US GAAP such as ASC606, ASC842, and ASC360.
  • Manage inventory accounting including multiple contract manufacturers using average cost and FIFO with purchase price variances.
  • Implement and manage electronic payments for payables and receivables including A/P automation.
  • Oversee operational accounting systems and processes while identifying and driving process improvement and efficiency.
  • Prepare financial reports and present findings and recommendations to executive management.
  • Utilize queries to evaluate and analyze data not limited to cost analysis, forecasting, and analysis of other metrics as needed.
  • Conduct financial analysis to track KPIs and ensure efficient operations and profitability
  • Guide and direct the professional development of personnel within the accounting department.
  • Oversee the review of account reconciliations, monthly closing entries and consolidations including foreign currency translation.
  • Implement and maintain accounting internal controls.
  • Coordinate and lead external, insurance, regulatory, and other audits.
  • Participate in due diligence for acquisitions and assist with acquisition integration including purchase accounting.
  • Review financial systems and make recommendations for improvement. Participate in system implementations when relevant.
  • Oversee compliance with tax and other regulatory requirements.
  • Review and oversight of transactional accounting in a high-volume environment with 140,000+ customers billed on a monthly or quarterly basis.
  • Other duties as assigned.

What You’Ll Bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance require
  • 10+ years of progressive accounting experience required
  • CPA/MBA highly preferred
  • 3+ years public accounting experience preferred
  • Strong technical accounting and reporting skills
  • Heavy data analytical skills required (ability to perform queries preferred
  • Supervisory experience required
  • Experience in dynamic, high paced environments such as private equity backed companies
  • Strong work ethic
  • Ability to lead, motivate and develop subordinates in a participatory management environment
