Job Summary

The Manager, Herbal and Clinical Education will lead the development, delivery, and ongoing refinement of Gaia Herbs’ herbal and clinical education initiatives. This role bridges science, education, and relationship management to deepen practitioner engagement and drive growth within the Gaia Herbs PRO brand and healthcare practitioner segment. This position combines strategic program design with hands-on educational delivery—creating and presenting clinical content, collaborating with healthcare professionals, and managing key educational partnerships. The Manager will serve as the internal and external voice for clinical and herbal education, ensuring content excellence, regulatory compliance, and alignment with business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

Education Strategy & Program Development

  •  Develop and execute a comprehensive herbal and clinical education strategy aligned with Gaia Herbs’ PRO business goals. • Identify key audiences (HCPs, internal teams, retail partners) and design targeted learning paths, tools, and resources. • Create scalable educational formats (webinars, e-learning, clinical protocols, live trainings, certifications). • Maintain a robust educational calendar aligned with marketing and sales campaigns. • Conduct market research and trend analysis to inform educational content and strategy.

Content Creation & Medical Writing

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive herbal and clinical education strategy aligned with Gaia Herbs’ PRO business goals. 
  • Identify key audiences (HCPs, internal teams, retail partners) and design targeted learning paths, tools, and resources. 
  • Create scalable educational formats (webinars, e-learning, clinical protocols, live trainings, certifications). 
  • Maintain a robust educational calendar aligned with marketing and sales campaigns.
  • Conduct market research and trend analysis to inform educational content and strategy.

Content Creation & Medical Writing

  • Translate complex clinical and herbal science into engaging, compliant, and actionable educational materials.
  • Write and review scientific, regulatory, and marketing content, ensuring accuracy and adherence to DSHEA, FDA, and FTC guidelines.
  • Collaborate with internal and external subject matter experts and partner clinicians to develop clinical protocols, case studies, and product monographs.
  • Support internal training needs through the creation of reference materials, decks, and internal education modules.

Customer Engagement & Field Education

  •  Serve as a clinical education liaison for key accounts and healthcare professionals. 
  •  Deliver compelling live and virtual presentations on Gaia Herbs formulations, research, and clinical applications. 
  •  Attend tradeshows, conferences, and practitioner events to promote education and strengthen relationships.
  •  Partner with the sales team to provide clinical insights and training that drive product adoption and brand trust.

Cross-Functional Collaboration & Reporting

  • Partner with marketing, sales, product, and formulation teams to align messaging and educational content. 
  • Lead or support vendor and contractor management for educational media and e-learning projects. 
  • Track KPIs including engagement metrics, education attendance, content completion rates, and account performance linked to educational initiatives.
  • Maintain accurate records of educational outreach and field activities within the CRM (HubSpot).
Requirements

Qualifications

Education And Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Herbal Studies, Nutrition, or related field (advanced degree preferred).
  • 4–6 years of experience in herbal, natural health, or dietary supplement industries. 
  • 3+ years developing or delivering clinical or product education programs. 
  • Experience in medical or scientific writing within a regulatory framework. 
  • Practitioner or Certified Herbalist credentials a plus.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  •  Deep understanding of herbal medicine, nutrition, and clinical science. 
  •  Excellent public speaking and presentation skills for diverse audiences (HCPs, internal staff, retail teams). 
  •  Skilled writer with the ability to create clear, engaging, and compliant educational materials. 
  •  Proficiency with Microsoft Office, learning management systems, and CRM tools (HubSpot preferred). 
  •  Strong organizational and analytical skills with ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines. 
  • Collaborative, self-motivated, and able to work effectively across departments.
  • Enthusiastic about Gaia’s mission and committed to advancing herbal and clinical education.

Physical Demands & Work Environment

  •  Primarily remote, with occasional travel for meetings, tradeshows, and educational events (10–20%).
  •  Regular use of computers and video conferencing tools. 
  •  Occasional visits to office or production environments where exposure to manufacturing conditions may occur.
