Job Summary

 This role involves day-to-day accounting reconciliations and postings, while participating in month-end and year-end close processes, and contributing to the development of financial strategies 

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee and perform daily accounting operations, including general ledger entries, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
• Conduct complex account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
• Participate in month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP, internal policies, and external regulations.
• Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts, providing analytical support.
• Support internal and external audits, preparing necessary documentation and  addressing audit inquiries.
• Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
• Provide mentorship and guidance to junior accounting staff.
• Analyze financial data and present findings to senior management.
• Manage sales and property tax filings and ensure compliance with all relevant tax regulations.
• Support strategic financial planning and decision-making processes.

Requirements

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA or CMA certification is a plus.
• 3+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• Proficiency in accounting software, ERP Systems and advanced Excel skills.
• In-depth knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting requirements.
• Experience working in a manufacturing environment is a plus. 
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across departments.
• Proven leadership skills and experience managing a project or a team.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Able to think independently on tasks and at times with minimal guidance.      

Working Conditions:

• Full-time position, typically 40 hours per week with the occasional requirement for overtime during peak periods and additional flexibility during off-peak periods.
• Office environment with standard working hours.
