Schedule: Full Time, Weekdays
Rate: $50/hr
PURPOSE OF POSITION: The Clinic RN - is responsible for providing clinical, administrative, and facility support to ensure efficient operation of the clinic. This position supports providers and patients through a variety of tasks related to patient care, clinic maintenance, and communication with other Ideal Option departments. The Clinic RN will provide clinical and non-clinical support as needed and directed by the organization.
Requirements
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: The following functions have been determined by Ideal Option to be essential to the successful performance of this position which include but are not limited to:
- Administrative tasks to support efficient clinic flow for in-person and virtual patients
- Obtain required documentation and releases
- Collection of copays as indicated by patient ins urance
- Responsible for the security of in-clinic funds, and bank deposits
- Provide clinical support within the scope of the Clinic RN role
- Provide Case Management support to patients in need of SDOH resources
- Perform routine maintenance and cleaning
- Responsible for ensuring adequate stock of supplies, completing inventory, and orders as needed
- Works cooperatively to ensure the success of their team by providing support and training as appropriate
- Maintain consistent and regular communication with team members across multiple platforms
- Administer various types of injections, including intramuscular and subcutaneous, while following proper protocols and guidelines
- Assess patients prior to injection administration to ensure safety and appropriateness of treatment
- Educate patients about the purpose, benefits, and possible side effects of injections
- Monitor patients for adverse reactions and provide appropriate interventions if needed
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of injections and patient responses
- Follow strict infection control and medication administration guidelines
- Work collaboratively with physicians, nurse practitioners, and other healthcare professionals
- Ensure all medications and injection supplies are stored and handled properly
- Stay updated on best practices, new medications, and safety regulations related to injections
- Complies with national PHI laws including HIPAA and 42 CFR Part 2
- Other projects as needed
Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities:
- Medical terminology
- Experienced with computers, including Microsoft Office Suite
- Effective written and verbal communication
- Previous knowledge of de-escalation techniques preferred, but not required
- Ability to adapt to unique patient needs and communication styles
- A knowledge of or propensity to learn about chemical dependency and its effects on individuals, families, and communities
- Ability to work independently or team setting
- Ability to work with underserved, vulnerable populations
- Strong commitment to actively supporting an ethical open working environment
Education: Required:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Unencumbered Registered Nurse license
Qualifications:
- Maintain Unencumbered RN Licensing in Montana
- Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, preferably in an outpatient clinic or hospital setting.
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Experience with a variety of injection techniques and medications.
- Strong knowledge of pharmacology and potential medication interactions.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while ensuring patient safety and comfort.
Preferred:
- Experience with drawing blood
- Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems
- Experience in an addiction related field
Working Enviornment:
- General office environment: Works generally at a desk in a well-lighted, air-conditioned cubicle/office, with moderate noise levels
- Virtual support from the Regional Director - daily, periodic onsite clinic visits
- Routine All-Employee virtual meetings for organizational updates
- Administers injections in designated injection room for patient comfort
- Standing for extended periods and occasional lifting may be required
Physical Demands:
- Sitting or standing required
- Long periods in front of a computer monitor
- Significant amount of typing required
- Occasionally lift and carry up to 25 lbs
- Squat/Bend/Kneel/Reach
Schedule Requirements: Clinic Location dependent.
