Description
Did you enter this field to make a difference? Let's see you shine! In a challenging industry, AWS offers more than a job—we offer a supportive mission and a career path where you are truly valued and can grow professionally. We are seeking a transformative, energetic, and compassionate leader to drive clinical excellence within our Behavioral Health Home (BHH) Team, serving adults with chronic behavioral health and co-occurring conditions.
The Opportunity: Lead, Coach, and Innovateou won't be an isolated supervisor—you'll be a vital part of a strong leadership triad. You'll join two other seasoned Clinical Coordinators, gaining immediate peer support as you lead your own team of dedicated Care Coordinators and interns. This role is essential, acting as the bridge between our Biddeford and Portland offices. You will attend both group supervisions, harvesting each teams strengths to help us grow stronger together as one team. Your voice and expertise matter: as a small, learning organization, feedback drives change. Since you are embedded in the day-to-day operations, your insights will directly influence how we improve the quality of care we provide.
Your Mission: Hands-On, In-Office MentorshipWe need a compassionate Clinician who can lead by example. This is an in-office position because your physical presence is the engine for staff growth and quality care. This is a hands-on mentorship role where your advanced skills translate directly into the BHH Care Coordinators' clinical and professional growth, with a critical focus on quality care and setting clear professional boundaries. Crucially, you serve as the onsite supervisor for immediate response in the rare occurance of crisis situations, providing the timely, expert clinical guidance our team needs most.
Your Core Responsibilities:
- Clinical Mentorship: Actively teach, coach, and model best practices (e.g., debriefings, group and individual supervision) to elevate the clinical skills of our paraprofessionals.
- Assessment Expert: Use your deep clinical skills to assess complex client needs, direct appropriate services, and provide day-to-day supervision. At times, you will carry a small caseload yourself to teach your team how to manage challenging cases and demonstrate that everyone deserves care, even when they are complex.
- Community Engagement: You will participate in community meetings, networking events or other engagements required for the program.
- Quality & Growth: Maintain clinical integrity by reviewing BHH documentation, providing administrative/performance feedback, and supporting program growth through intake assessments and annual reviews.
- Leadership Presence: Be present and available to support your team without creating dependence. You will teach them how to be self-sufficient, effectively utilizing their weekly supervision time with you and helping them recognize when to reach out for additional support when crisis situations arise.
We believe in supporting the people who support our clients, recognizing that strong clinicians need strong boundaries and exceptional support.
- Financial & Health Security: Full benefits package, 4 weeks of PTO, 10 Paid Holidays, Professional Development Days, Health, Dental, EAP, Life, LTD, STD, and retirement plans. We even offer Pet insurance and Catastrophic Events coverage.
- True Work/Life Integration: We support a flexible environment to enhance work-life balance, allowing you to achieve your essential duties without burnout.
- Unbeatable Perks: Our Employee of the Year earns a paid vacation to Florida with an additional week of PTO! Enjoy pet bereavement leave, internal competitions, and regular all-agency days designed purely to build team strength and foster connection.
