  • Hiring Range: $160 - $200 per hour

What You’Ll Do:

The Oral Surgeon provides a full range of oral and maxillofacial surgical services, offering compassionate and comprehensive care to eligible patients of the Puyallup Tribal Health Authority. In this role, you’ll perform specialized oral surgery procedures, provide consultation and education to staff, and collaborate closely with dental and medical professionals to ensure the highest standards of patient care.

  • Deliver professional oral surgery services, including pre- and post-operative care.
  • Administer sedation (nitrous oxide, moderate, or deep) within PTHA policy guidelines.
  • Provide urgent care for dental emergencies such as pain, bleeding, and swelling.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary treatment planning and patient education.
  • Supervise and mentor dental assistants chair-side.
  • Accurately document patient care in the Electronic Health Record system.
  • Support quality assurance, accreditation, and continuous improvement efforts.
  • Contribute to staff training, development, and education initiatives.

What You Bring:

  • Graduate of an accredited school of dentistry and completion of an Oral Surgery Residency Program.
  • Current WA State Dentist license and DEA registration.
  • National Provider Identifier (NPI) and current BLS and ACLS certification.
  • Proficiency with Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Commitment to ethical standards, patient confidentiality, and cultural humility.
