Responsibilities
• Case management of nursing students enrolled in major concentration of nursing programs
• Contact members via telephone, in-person, including one-on-one support in admissions center, at Training Employment Fund (TEF) sites, online, at health care facilities and at other academic events as needed; informing members of TEF academic and support services such as tutoring, review for licensure and employment placement
• Manage all aspects of ongoing education programs, including but not limited to the following: facilitate member enrollment in appropriate programs; coordinate all aspects of assigned programs and organize all the logistical aspects of classes and cohorts; advocate for members’ work schedule adjustments for release time while attending college courses
• Conduct continuous improvement of existing education programs in conjunction with the Manager and Director
• Facilitate orientations for students via Webinar or in-person. Conduct College Workshops to group members via Webinar or in-person. Provide input into the development of customized workshops as needed
• Problem solves members’ issues and challenges, and case manage situations with special reference to our nursing programs. Refer members to appropriate academic programs including certificate, degree and, preparatory areas in TEF
• Serves as a liaison with stakeholders including organizers and delegates, educational institutions such as colleges, universities and training providers
• Enter, collect, and review student data. Analyze general reports. Generate reports for Trustees and other stakeholders as needed, ensure member eligibility and adherence to academic standards
• Perform additional duties and projects as assigned by management
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in education, counseling, human/social service, healthcare or related fields required
• Minimum two (2) years experience working in adult education, training or workforce development required
• Intermediate skill level in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint preferred
• Working knowledge in healthcare education programs, adult education, and/or labor management training fund’s operation preferred
• Ability to maintain strong relationships with staff and all stakeholders
• Understanding of training or workforce development principles, best practices in case management, coaching and educational/career pathways
• Ability to maintain confidential information and handle sensitive issues
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent presentation, facilitation and customer service skills
• Detail orientated and ability to handle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines, while working under pressure
• Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends required
