• Reports to: Facilities Supervisor
• Job Location: 2920 Kelly Avenue; Watertown, SD 57201
• Hours/Days of Position: Monday-Friday 8am-5pm
• This position works on-site and is not remote or hybrid.

Spartronics is hiring a Facilities Technician, who will be onsite, to work through the Maintenance Management System to insure the acceptable Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE). They will support manufacturing, to improve overall manufacturing systems, work environment, safety, product manufacturability, capacity, quality, and efficiency at lowest possible cost.

What A Day Looks Like:

• Maintain all production machines, equipment, and tooling at established levels of availability, performance, and quality.  
• Responsible for preventive maintenance and corrective work orders for equipment as scheduled through the Preventative Maintenance System.  
• Perform any unscheduled corrective and emergency tasks on production equipment as they may arise. 
• Report all work back to the computerized maintenance system daily with all reporting to be turned in by the end of the shift.
• Provide facilities support of offices, break room, electrical, compressed gas systems, water treatment, HVAC, snow removal, building repairs, floor maintenance and lighting.  
• Perform basic troubleshooting and evaluation of inoperative machines and electronic equipment. Make the necessary electrical, electronic, and mechanical repairs.  
• Assist in manufacturing process development and improve existing practices.  
• Participate in prototype assemblies and evaluates for manufacturability. Interface with Engineers on the development of engineering projects including mechanical, wiring, soldering, and programming. 
• Develop new maintenance procedures, preventative maintenance procedures, and calibration procedures.
• On call support for production equipment as needed.  
• Comply with all applicable OSHA and EPA regulations.
• Performs other related duties as required and assigned.

Information About Our Manufacturing Facility:

• Our address is 2920 Kelly Ave, Watertown, SD, 57201
• We have 120,000 sq feet of air-conditioned manufacturing space and focus on Industrial and Medical Device customers at this location.
• The facility operates 2 work shifts (day and evening) and we have around 220 employees at this location.

Requirements

• Education- Associate's degree or higher within an appropriate discipline for position. 
• Experience- 2-5 years of mechanical or electrical work preferred. 
• Equipment programming experience preferred.  
• Mechanical, electronic, programmable logic controller and computer skills are preferred 
• Must have strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills to effectively communicate with internal and external contacts. 
• Full color vision is an essential job requirement. Color identification test may be required pre-hire.
