Laundry Attendant - Summit Resort

As a key member of our Housekeeping Department, the Laundry Attendant is entrusted with the care and operation of the resort’s laundry facilities and linen stores — ensuring our guests always experience the crisp comfort of freshly laundered linens. The goal of the Laundry Department is simple yet vital: process linens quickly, cleanly, and efficiently. From operating and maintaining machinery to keeping the workspace neat and orderly, you’ll help uphold the high standards that define the Steele Hill experience.

Responsibilities
- Open and close the laundry facilities as needed, ensuring all machines and lights are properly managed.
- Sort linens accurately into their designated categories for efficient processing.
- Operate washing and drying machinery according to established procedures and cycle settings.
- Perform quality checks on all processed linens, removing damaged or unserviceable items.
- Fold, bag, and store linens according to resort standards for consistency and presentation.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the laundry area at all times.
- Monitor laundry chemical and supply levels; notify management when restocking is required.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or maintenance needs promptly.
- Assist with linen inventory and documentation as directed.
- Communicate effectively with the management team, bringing attention to any issues requiring oversight.
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support the department.

Requirements
- Ability to comprehend and communicate effectively — verbally, in writing, and via radio.
- Valid driver’s license in good standing and reliable transportation.
- Physical ability to perform demanding tasks, including lifting up to 50 pounds, navigating stairs and ramps while carrying loads, and engaging in repetitive motions for extended periods.
- Ability to remain standing for long periods of time.
- Good eyesight and attention to detail.
- Strong self-motivation and ability to work efficiently without supervision.
- Schedule: Tuesday – Saturday
- Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
