Senior Customer Business Manager 

This Opportunity Focuses On:

  • leading customer-focused plans and initiatives and partner cross functionally to develop and execute strategic selling solutions to achieve sales and profit objectives;  
  • working with Customers to deliver sales volume to ensure achievement of Bayer Consumer Health (BCH) goals and objectives; and
  • selecting mid-size accounts or select categories within a larger account to build opportunities and relationships.

What You Will Do:

  • Accountable to build and execute short and long-term account unified commerce strategies and business plans that support the achievement of divisional strategy and desired outcomes.
  • Manages budgets, including trade allocation, promotional funds, and displays.
  • Demonstrates leadership and strategic partnership with customers through category leadership, consumer and shopper insights, and marketing to help steer and grow the business together.
  • Analyze volume for sales and displays while planning corresponding long-term budgets.
  • Builds customer relationships through category Director & Merchant meetings to share consumption and category trends, Planogram recommendations, and identify opportunities to win between Bayer and customer.
  • Utilizes strategic selling and negotiation skills to maximize sales growth, promotional effectiveness, and long-term partnerships.
  • Attends annual planning meetings, presenting new product launches and brand activations, and participating in JBP negotiations.
  • Responsible for promotional tracking and management, including displays, flyers, and shopper marketing programs.

Who You Are:

  • BA degree or equivalent required.
  • Strong aligned Customer Management experience in Food Drug Mass (FDM) retail.

Skills and competencies should include the following:

  • Ability to think strategically and prioritize team goals and activities with short and long-term outcomes.
  • High ability to self-start and show leadership.
  • Strong financial acumen; ability to manage and optimize budget resources effectively.
  • Deep knowledge of the Food Drug Mass (FDM) retail landscape
  • Ability to identify risks and opportunities and build strategies to leverage.
  • Experience in CPG industry; category; brand strategies; competitive products; EComm/Omni customers, and classes of trade.
  • Strong negotiation and influencing skills; ability to influence decision-making at various levels in both company and customer relationships.
  • Strong English written and verbal communication skills.
  • High learning agility; demonstrated ability to act, learn fast, and evolve.
  • Collaborates with accountability and an inclusion mindset; ability to hold each other accountable across teams while respecting differences and embracing inclusion.
