The Assumption University Theology Department seeks a qualified instructor to teach one or more sections of the course “THE-100 – Introduction to Theology” for the Fall 2025 semester. Each iteration of this course should provide a broad overview of Catholic theology, with a focus on major Christian doctrines (Trinity, Christology, sacramental theology, ecclesiology etc.).

Each section must also cover a significant portion of Augustine of Hippo’s Confessions.

Requirements:

Qualified instructors will possess at least a Master’s degree in Theology (or an ecclesiastical equivalent thereof), if not also a doctoral degree. The sections in need of staffing will run in person on a Monday/Wednesday/Friday schedule, and the instructor will be provided office space from which to conduct required office hours, as well as any other related work. 

Applicants must be willing to contribute actively to the mission of the University as well as show respect for the Catholic and Assumptionist identity of Assumption University.
