Pay Range
$111,600 - $133,524 Annual

Job Description
We have an opening for a Financial Analyst (Mid/Senior) to work in a dynamic and fast paced environment. You will be responsible for supporting efforts in the preparation, review, validation, and reporting of funding and cost actions. Job scope will include independently performing budgetary analyses within a wide diversity of tasks for the Budget Department. This position is in the Budget/Funds Division of the Office of the Chief Financial Officer (OCFO) Organization.
You Will
- Represent the Laboratory in the collection and dissemination of financial information.
- Participate in the development, analysis, and reporting of complex financial data.
- Perform complex research and gather analysis related to financial, business and workforce issues.
- Provide training and assistance to others within scope of assignment.
- Maintain and improve complex financial spreadsheets utilizing advanced functions.
- Develop effective solutions to support efficient business processes as well as process improvements.
- Gather, clarify, and analyze diverse and complex financial information including funding, costing, and workforce data. Provide analyses and relevant information to ensure resolution of customer and/or sponsor issues. Research variances to plans and allocations and implement corrective actions as appropriate.
- Establish, maintain, and provide accurate, detailed financial data, records, and reports for the Laboratory and external entities including DOE/NNSA, and audit agencies.
- Participate in cross-functional teams identifying, formulating, and implementing new/revised business process changes and requirements.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Ability to secure and maintain a U.S. DOE Q-level security clearance which requires U.S. citizenship.
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics or related field, or equivalent combination of education and related experience and training in accounting/finance, procurement, project management, or auditing.
- Complete knowledge and understanding of and experience performing financial functions including interpreting, analyzing, applying financial policies and procedures and financial accounting, including the use of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Significant experience compiling and analyzing financial data and information and demonstrated expertise in problem solving and analytical skills.
- Strong interpersonal communication skills in both verbal and written forms necessary to tactfully establish and maintain effective work relationships and to provide advanced customer service to a wide variety of personnel, internal and external to the Laboratory.
- Advanced organizational skills including the ability to determine priorities with minimal assistance, process multiple tasks simultaneously, and meet all deadlines.
- Advanced experience developing and maintaining spreadsheets and maintaining financial databases; including experience utilizing commercial and/or institutional financial tools.
- Significant experience with decision making, ability to be innovative, assess situations, and make prudent decisions. Qualifications we desire
- Advanced PC computer and software application experience.

Security Clearance
This position requires a Department of Energy (DOE) Q-level clearance. If you are selected, we will initiate a Federal background investigation to determine if you meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information or matter. Also, all L or Q cleared employees are subject to random drug testing. Q-level clearance requires U.S. citizenship.
