Job Description

This role can be based in San Francisco, New York, Carpinteria, or DC.

At LinkedIn, our approach to flexible work is centered on trust and optimized for culture, connection, clarity, and the evolving needs of our business. The work location of this role is hybrid, meaning it will be performed both from home and from a LinkedIn office on select days, as determined by the business needs of the team.

About This Role

We are seeking a strategic, hands-on, insight-driven leader to own our cross-business brand and consumer measurement agenda. You will be a full-stack insights partner to our consumer and B2B marketing teams—validating KPIs, launching new brand trackers, and blending classic consumer research methods with modern analytics to shape how our technology brand presents itself in the world. From scoping studies to maintaining normative databases and guiding campaign measurement, you will transform data into clear stories that inform senior decisions and drive brand growth.

Responsibilities

  • Lead Brand & Consumer Insights Strategy
  • Define and evolve a holistic brand and consumer-insights roadmap across consumer and B2B markets, ensuring KPIs align with business objectives and marketing priorities.
  • Drive KPI Validation & Alignment
  • Collaborate with Marketing, Product, and Insights leaders to establish, validate, and refine success metrics for brand health, creative performance, and campaign effectiveness.

Design & Execute Research
Plan and conduct both traditional and innovative research—brand tracking, creative pre-testing, qualitative/quantitative studies, segmentation, and consumer journey mapping—to uncover deep audience understanding.

  • Launch & Manage Tracking Programs
  • Scope, design, and kick off new global brand-tracking initiatives, ensuring robust methodology, representative sampling, and governance for consistency and comparability.
  • Vendor & Normative Database Management
  • Lead day-to-day vendor communication, performance reviews, and contract negotiations. Build and maintain normative databases to benchmark brand and consumer metrics over time.
  • Analyze & Synthesize Insights
  • Integrate findings from brand trackers, primary research, and behavioral data into clear, actionable recommendations and executive-ready narratives.
  • Influence & Communicate
  • Deliver compelling insights that inspire action across marketing, product, and executive teams—embedding consumer and brand intelligence into key decisions.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in consumer insights, brand measurement, marketing analytics, or related fields, ideally within a technology company or across both consumer and B2B markets.
  • 3+ years managing large-scale brand tracking or campaign measurement programs, including vendor oversight and cross-functional stakeholder management.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Expertise with consumer and brand-insights platforms (e.g., Kantar, Ipsos, Nielsen, Dynata) and advanced brand-health tracking solutions.
  • Proficiency in creative pre-testing and campaign-effectiveness tools (e.g., System1, Zappi, Ipsos ASI).
  • Working knowledge of advanced analytics (marketing-mix modeling, multi-touch attribution, AI-driven dashboards).
  • Demonstrated ability to validate KPIs, launch new tracking programs, and maintain normative databases.
  • Strong analytical and storytelling skills with the ability to translate complex data into strategic recommendations for senior leadership.
  • Excellent project-management, communication, and presentation skills; comfortable influencing executives and cross-functional partners.

Suggested Skills

  • Data Analysis & Storytelling
  • Cross-Functional Influence & Communication
  • Brand & Consumer Insights
