Manager-Facility Operations

Youth Care, a residential treatment center with a campus of 5 buildings is looking for a Facility Manager. Experience with electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting, and mechanics is preferred. Responsible for the general and preventive maintenance of the equipment, building, furniture, fixtures and grounds of the facility, to include monitoring work performed by outside vendors or contractors. Essential Functions:

• Manage the activities involved in the maintenance of facilities and equipment.
• Responsible for building operations including structural maintenance.
• Responsible for regulatory and building code compliance.
• Direct, supervise and evaluate work activities of department staff.
• Provide staff management to including hiring, development, training, performance management and communication to ensure effective and efficient department operation.
• Ensure safe operations and adherence to regulatory requirements.
• Serve as project manager for small scale, short duration projects.
• Develop and manage budget and inventory systems.
• Manage the activities involved in the design and renovation projects for a facility.
• Analyze metrics and make recommendations for improvements and solutions to issues that are identified.
• Initiate and authorize repairs or replacements and prepare related cost estimates.
• Be on-call for building emergencies.
• Responsible for facility operational effectiveness and safety.

Education/Experience/Skill Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in facilities management or operations required.
• Five or more years’ experience in similar position required.
• One or more years’ of supervisory experience preferred.
• Valid state driver's license
• Must be able to perform essential functions on the job description, with or without reasonable accommodation
• Must be able to stand and walk intermittent 8 hours per day.
• Ability to reach above shoulder often, regularly required to lift and/or carry up to 100 lbs
• Ability to reach and bend freely
• Ability to climb ladders, work on roofs, work in confined spaces, and work around hazardous materials, possibly including chemical and flammable materials.
