About Stripe
Stripe is a financial infrastructure platform for businesses. Millions of companies—from the world’s largest enterprises to the most ambitious startups—use Stripe to accept payments, grow their revenue, and accelerate new business opportunities. Our mission is to increase the GDP of the internet, and we have a staggering amount of work ahead. That means you have an unprecedented opportunity to put the global economy within everyone’s reach while doing the most important work of your career.
About The Team
We’re looking for an experienced compliance and risk manager located in London to provide critical support to Stripe’s Affiliate Officers, specifically the Chief Risk Officer (CRO) and Compliance Officers in Stripe’s Ireland and UK affiliate entities. You will play a key role in discharging the Officers’ duties and supporting the Boards of the EMEA regulated entities.
What You’Ll Do
This role will be instrumental in driving Stripe’s global compliance and risk management efforts, with direct impact across the Group, and will provide an excellent opportunity for a talented candidate to enhance compliance and risk advisory and expertise, deploy cross-functional project management skills, learn about digital assets, and carve out opportunities to grow and develop. The successful candidate will gain wide ranging exposure to Stripe's diverse range of business lines, senior leadership, and the governance and workings of the organization (including the EMEA regulated entity Boards). In this role, you will promote Stripe’s culture of sound risk management by supporting the delivery of a wide range of activities within our compliance and enterprise risk management program. Being proactive and results-oriented, you will help make sure that Stripe’s products, business and operations are subject to the highest of governance standards.
The ideal candidate will be a self-starter who is exceptionally organized, thorough and detail-oriented, with a background in financial services, payments, digital assets, or other regulated sectors. In this role, you will get a chance to help build, enhance, mature and evolve our compliance and risk management programs and be a key cross-functional partner. Stripe is both a technology company and a financial services company, and you will need to be comfortable in both worlds.

- Oversee and challenge key risk indicator reporting from first line risk owners.
- Deputize for the CRO in certain governance fora, providing appropriate review and challenge of all matters coming before the group.
- Provide the necessary support to the CRO on regulatory engagements, including corresponding with the FCA and CBI.
