As we move into our next exciting phase of growth, we are looking for a passionate and influential Area Director for Northern Ireland to act as the strategic ‘face of IVC’ – someone who will lead, coach, and inspire our practices, ensuring they thrive both operationally and culturally.

What You’ll Do
As Area Director, you will:
*Act as the strategic leader and trusted partner for practices across Northern Ireland.*Champion and embed our values and culture, creating an environment where people love to work.*Lead and coach Clinical Directors, Practice Managers, and teams, driving collaboration, performance, and accountability.*Identify and address underperformance, providing resources, guidance, and coaching.*Support recruitment, retention, and engagement initiatives to build sustainable, high-performing teams.*Develop future leaders through succession planning and career development opportunities.*Foster a no-blame, positive culture that celebrates collaboration and innovation.*Partner with central teams to deliver business growth, operational excellence, and the very best client and patient care.*Ensure clear and effective communication across practices, giving teams a voice and a platform for feedback.
What We’re Looking For
A proven leader with the ability to inspire, coach, and influence, strong commercial awareness with a track record of delivering results through people. Experience in driving cultural change, operational improvements, and team engagement, ability to balance strategic vision with hands-on leadership, excellent communicator with strong relationship-building skills, a collaborative leader who thrives in a fast-paced, people-focused environment, willingness to travel extensively across Northern Ireland.
(Veterinary sector experience is beneficial but not essential – we welcome leaders from people-centric, multi-site industries, clinical backgrounds, clinical regulatory backgrounds.)
