🕒 Work Hours: 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM, Monday through Friday

💲 Pay Range: $18 - $20 per hour

Are you a proactive, detail-oriented individual who keeps things moving? The Dixon Group is hiring a Material Handler to join our skilled manufacturing team in Chestertown, MD! You’ll transport parts and components safely throughout the facility, maintaining a steady flow of materials to work centers. Stay in tune with demand signals and ensure each area has the supplies needed to stay on schedule. You’ll also learn all aspects of our shipping and receiving operations, including overhead cranes and both walk-behind and ride-on forklifts. If you enjoy working in a fast-paced, hands-on environment and take pride in supporting a team that builds quality products, we’d love to have you on board.

⚙️ What You'Ll Do:

• Interact with the factory inventory system via laptop or desktop
• Operate industrial scales
• Enter manifest data for shipping
• Monitor and maintain the accuracy of inventory counts
• Identify and employ proper packaging materials for shipments
• Communicate with other departments within Dixon to coordinate shipments
• Assist with other areas of material handling as needed

🎯 What We'Re Looking For:

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
• Willingness to learn, follow procedures, and work independently
• Reliable, team-oriented mindset with great time management
• Ability to pass the internal forklift and overhead crane process
• Strong organizational skills and a sense of accountability to every task
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
• Previous machine operation experience is a plus—but not required!
