CareRx is looking for a Part Time Pharmacist to join our Kelowna team. Under the general direction of the Designated Pharmacy Manager, the Staff Pharmacist is responsible for ensuring that all prescriptions are dispensed accurately and safely while providing pharmaceutical patient care ensuring the highest level of therapeutic appropriateness for patients. The Staff Pharmacist responds to a multitude of scenarios including, but not limited to: Verifying safe and appropriate medication administration, assessing and dispensing critical medications, rapidly responding to palliative care prescriptions and arranging drug deliveries with our delivery team.

Role Accountabilities:
- Collaboration with all members of the pharmacy team to ensure medication orders are dispensed accurately, safely, timely and completely.
- Complete daily tasks in accordance with established workplace policies and procedures.
- Consult with members of the pharmacy management team when there are unresolved issues surrounding day to day work functions.
- Provide exceptional customer care to CareRx pharmacy patients and home partners.
- Communications with all members of the resident care team while maintaining professionalism by following corporate policies to always ensure the highest standard of customer care and quality of pharmacy service.
- Conduct medication regimen/profile reviews with associated documentation of recommendations.
- Follow all provincial and federal laws, standards and regulations which govern the practice of pharmacy at all times.
- Follow all corporate regulations, policies, and procedures at all times.
- Assists in maintaining and monitoring of pharmacy inventory.
- Participates in the training and support for newly hired and existing pharmacy team members when required.
- Triaging orders and reviewing for drug therapy problems, therapeutic duplications, and other potential problems
- Data entry (Kroll) in filling of new orders, reorders, medication reviews for Long Term Care and Assisted Living facilities
- Performing final checks on prescriptions/ product checks
- Answering questions on therapeutic inquiries from fellow health care professionals and facility staff
- Collaborating with other health care professionals to ensure seamless patient care
- Participate in the on call rotation as needed
What You Will Bring to the Team:
- Licensure with the BC College of Pharmacists
- Experience in Long Term Care Pharmacy is a strong asset but not required
- Ability to work both in a team and independently in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail

Compensation Range: $60-70/hour. Actual pay rate will be based on the individual candidate’s credentials and experience.
- Location: This role will be on site at our Kelowna site, 3515 Spectrum Crt Kelowna
- Work Shifts: Part Time, 16 hours a week
