In This Role

Join a mission-driven team supporting digital transformation initiatives for nonprofits and educational institutions through enterprise IT solutions. As a Principal Product Manager, you'll define and execute the AI product strategy for technology that contributes to initiatives empowering underserved communities, with a focus on nonprofit customers. You'll partner closely with sales and business operations to drive technology solutions for registration, eligibility, fraud detection, customer support, and offer signups. This role offers a unique opportunity to deliver high-value, meaningful work on a team known for its impact-focused mission and commitment to empowering nonprofits and educational institutions through AI innovation. A typical day includes meeting with business stakeholders to understand pain points and business needs, writing scenarios and features to define technical solutions, researching competitive products and industry trends, and collaborating with engineering teams to deliver solutions.

 **Please note this role is hybrid and will require an onsite presence in Redmond, WA for 3-4 days per week as needed.**

Key Responsibilities

  • Define product strategy in collaboration with business owners and engineering teams for AI-driven solutions supporting nonprofit and educational institution initiatives
  • Write product features and specifications to enable development teams to deliver high-quality solutions
  • Partner closely across multiple stakeholder groups and organizations to drive alignment and project success
  • Facilitate the User Acceptance Testing process, developing rollout plans and procedures
  • Ensure appropriate systems development and project management processes are being utilized
  • Make presentations to steering committees or project sponsors
  • Oversee the application of project management methodology during all phases of the product cycle, including product design, scope management, cost control, quality and performance reporting
  • Determine how machine learning and artificial intelligence can help solve business problems
  • Design and implement AI-driven automation solutions
  • Contribute to AI investments supporting product recommendations, streamlined registration, and improved support connections

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in technical field such as computer science, computer engineering, or related field required
  • 10+ years of product management experience, including strong feature writing and product strategy background
  • 4+ years of AI/ML fundamentals experience
  • 10+ years of cross-functional collaboration experience with engineering teams and business stakeholders
  • Strong stakeholder collaboration and communication skills, with proven experience working with difficult stakeholders and aligning diverse perspectives
  • Demonstrated ability to be flexible and adaptable in exercising judgment in a changing environment and to manage competing priorities
  • Proven ability to learn business processes quickly and to work well with business partners at different levels within the organization
  • Strong ability to assess risk and apply management principles to technology applications/products and business functions
  • Experience delivering technology and business application solutions in a large-scale, multi-platform systems environment
  • Strong understanding of Azure services and API integration
  • Proven ability to design and implement AI-driven automation solutions

Preferred Qualifications

  • MBA or other related advanced degree
  • Experience leading large-scale projects from conception to delivery
  • Proven product strategy development across multiple business units
  • Track record of driving alignment among diverse stakeholder groups

Salary Range

Pay ranges vary based on multiple factors including, without limitation, skill sets, education, responsibilities, experience, and geographical market. The pay range for this position reflects geographic-based ranges for Washington state: $170,000 to $180,000 USD annually, with a midpoint of $175,000. The final salary and job title for this opening will be determined based on the selected candidate’s qualifications and experience and may fall outside this range.
