We are seeking a creative and motivated Associate Manager, Brand and Music Publicity.
Based in our New York office you will help elevate our brand through external and internal communications support of music marketing campaigns, brand campaigns, and always-on storytelling.
In this role, you are responsible for identifying new and innovative ways to connect our brand with priority audiences through traditional and non-traditional media as well as through earned influencer tactics. In addition to leading and amplifying existing campaigns driven by the business, you will be expected to work across multiple Music and Brand team projects, providing strategic and hands on contributions to release campaigns, cultural campaigns, and partnership campaigns to reach new and emerging audiences.
The ideal candidate will be exceptionally creative, immersed in Gen Z culture, and have proven experience in driving campaigns with measurable outcomes. Additionally strong media relationships in both traditional and non-traditional channels is required for the role. You should have experience and expertise in securing impactful brand stories across digital, social and broadcast channels.

What You'Ll Do
- Drive and execute consumer PR campaigns to connect with key audiences and deepen the understanding of Spotify through storytelling
- Own and continue to build relationships across traditional media, social and digital channels
- Proactively identify storytelling opportunities for music marketing and brand priorities through multiple channels (traditional, social, fan communities, etc.)
- Evaluate opportunities with a strategic understanding of the impact and risk for the brand
- Develop communications materials and effectively respond to incoming inquiries
- Contribute to interviews, presentations, and strategic support for executives and cross-functional stakeholders
- Manage projects with multiple internal team members and agency partners
- Identify new ways to story-tell in the digital space, whether that’s through influencers, social channels or emerging platforms
Who You Are
- 5+ years of relevant experience in consumer brand communications and publicity
- Strong media contacts and relationships, traditional and digital
- Exceptionally creative with the ability to actualize big ideas
- Proven ability to develop and execute strategic PR campaigns
- Strong writer and resourceful problem-solver
- Motivated self-starter with hands-on attitude
- Sharp editorial judgment with a strong grasp of the media landscape and an instinct for what makes stories impactful and shareable
- Ability to balance short- and long-term priorities
- Strategic thinker with the ability to work in a fast paced work environment
- Excellent verbal communication and presentation skills
- Have a deep understanding of key Spotify audiences including Gen Z and how to reach them
- Live and breathe lifestyle and culture, with a clear understanding of current internet phenomena
- Be proficient in creating engaging social media content
Where You'Ll Be
- This role is based in New York, New York
- We offer you the flexibility to work where you work best! There will be some in person meetings, but still allows for flexibility to work from home
- Working hours? We operate within the Eastern Standard time zone for collaboration
