Position SummaryWe are seeking a strategic and results-driven Vice President / General Manager to lead Applied Controls, Inc. This individual will be responsible for the overall performance, growth, and operational leadership of the business. Key Responsibilities
- Assisting the president to design the company's overall mission, values, and strategic goals.
- Overseeing daily business operations.
- Leading the sales team. Provide overall leadership and direction for ACI, including strategy, operations, sales, and financial performance.
- Developing and implementing growth strategies. Develop and execute business plans to achieve growth and profitability objectives.
- Training low-level managers and staff.
- Creating and managing budgets.
- Improving revenue. Identify market opportunities and trends to drive innovation and competitive advantage.
- Hiring employees. Lead and mentor a strong leadership team, building a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Evaluating performance and productivity. Partner with corporate leadership to align business strategy with broader organizational goals.
- Analyzing accounting and financial data.
- Researching and identifying growth opportunities.
- Generating reports and giving presentations.
- Attending meetings with the board of directors and sharing company information.
- Leading, guiding, directing, and evaluating the work of other employees, such as senior directors and managers, and ensuring a healthy working environment.
- Contributing to sales innovations, strategic business development, and the profitability of the company as determined by the company's strategic goals.
- Evaluating the success of the company in achieving its goals and formulating plans to correct any issues if the company is not achieving its goals.
- Managing the daily operations and revenue generation of the company and ensuring its continual growth.
- Assisting in maximizing the company's operating performance and achieving its financial goals.
- Assisting in managing the company's finances, identifying ways to increase revenue and decrease costs, analyzing financial reports, and preparing operating budgets.
- Signing documents and making commitments for which the company is legally liable.
- Maintaining awareness of competitors, expansion opportunities, customers, markets, and new industry developments and standards.
- Assists in ensuring training and product related events are executed.
- Maintain strong relationships with customers, suppliers, and business partners.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, industry standards, and all applicable regulations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or related field required; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
- 10+ years of progressive leadership experience, ideally in automation, industrial distribution, or a related industry.
- Proven track record of driving business growth, operational excellence, and financial results.
- Strong strategic thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership abilities.
- Demonstrated ability to build, develop, and inspire high-performing teams.
Work Environment
- Position is an indoor office and warehouse setting with moderate noise levels including voices, office equipment, and foot traffic sounds.
