Why Now
2025 has been a breakout year for Doppler. We’ve helped over 50,00 startups and enterprises manage their secrets at scale, and landed our first million-dollar customer. We've shipped some of our most exciting features yet, expanded our customer base, and sharpened our focus like never before. With a strong foundation in community, we're scaling and monetizing with ambitious goals across product, growth, sales, and hiring. The momentum is real, and we’re just getting started.
About Doppler
Doppler's mission is to make it easy and secure for developers of every experience level and teams of any size to manage their app configuration and secrets. But hasn't this been done?
Developers tend to be either struggling with the manual management of .env files, or wrestling with an overly complex secrets manager that's not built for software development. Doppler is changing that by making app configuration and secrets management easy, intuitive, and scalable. It's the SecretOps platform built by developers for developers.
Our team is entrepreneurial, with a bias for action. We never back down from a spirited debate and believe we are all responsible for exploring the hard questions. We value self-awareness and meaningful impact. We are open to unconventional approaches and have learned not to judge a book by its cover. Your time is your most valuable resource, so you set your hours. We use Slack to communicate and default to zero meetings. We aim to document everything. We also recommend you invest your time in 10% compounding time.
Who We Are
Doppler is a developer-first secrets management platform that enables engineers and security teams to securely store their secrets across any cloud infrastructure or deployment environment at scale.
The Role
We’re looking for a Head of Marketing who is a true full-stack marketer. You will set the strategy, lead and mentor a hard working team, and roll your sleeves up to execute. You thrive on building, iterating, and using data to drive informed decisions. From leading events and running paid campaigns to optimizing demand generation and collaborating across teams, you’re equally comfortable thinking big picture as much as you are diving into the details.
About The Team
You’ll be part of a fast-moving Marketing team that brings together all facets of Marketing. We’re a team that genuinely understands and cares about our users, putting their privacy first, even when it makes things harder for us. We prioritize collaboration, experimentation, and continuous improvement in the way we work and deliver outcomes.
What You’Ll Do:
- Lead, mentor, and build a high performing team creating a culture of continuous learning, experimentation, and growth.
- Manage vendors and external partners to ensure they deliver on their goals in a timely manner.
- Set the vision for lead generation and pipeline growth by guiding the team on targeting, segmentation, and campaign priorities, while ensuring alignment with Sales on revenue goals and full-funnel performance.
- Own marketing operations, ensuring data integrity and smooth campaign attribution across all platforms.
- Own marketing budget, quarterly planning and resource allocation for marketing campaigns.
- Oversee email marketing for brand communications.
- Oversee end to end event strategy and social media strategy.
- Leverage data-driven insights to uncover new opportunities and continuously optimize marketing efforts for greater impact.
- Keep a pulse on the latest trends, tools, and best practices in paid media, email marketing, and growth strategies to ensure we’re staying ahead of the curve.
What you’ll bring to the table:
- 6-10+ years in B2B SaaS marketing, ideally with experience in PLG and SLG
- Experience marketing to deeply technical audiences such as developers, security teams, and DevOps engineers in mid-market and enterprise segments.
- Proven track record of shaping strategy and leading teams.
- An execution-oriented mindset. You roll up your sleeves, make things happen, and push projects across the finish line.
- Curiosity and initiative. When faced with a challenge, you dig in, figure it out, and level up from what you've learned.
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize with multiple initiatives and deadlines.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills. You work well across teams and keep stakeholders aligned.
- Hands-on experience with tools such as Marketo, Salesforce, PostHog, StackAdapt, or similar.
Bonus:
- Marketing to developers or technical audiences (DevTools, Security)
- Google Ads or Marketo Certifications
Benefits
- Equity at an early-stage, fast-growing startup
- Premium health insurance (medical, dental, vision)
- Guilt Free Unlimited PTO - 3-week minimum strongly encouraged!
Upward Mobility
- Learning and Development Stipend
Wealth Advisor

- Pregnancy & Family Leave
- Fertility & Adoption Benefits
- Equal Compensation (regardless of gender or race)

Closing
We've built a great product our customers love. Our churn is low, and active usage continues to rise. We just need to amplify our reach to educate the market that secrets management can be fast, secure, and affordable for teams and organizations of any size. And most importantly, we need to continue encouraging Developers to stop adhering to archaic insecure standards such as manually managing .env file formats.
Are you passionate about developer-focused products and ready to join an amazing team? Then we want to hear from you!
A final note - we highly encourage you to apply for this role, even if you don't feel entirely qualified, or entirely sure. You never know!
