Overview:
SageSure is seeking a detail-oriented and driven Program Reporting Analyst to support our Program Reporting team in delivering high-impact reporting and analytics. This role plays a key part in executing month-end program reporting processes and contributes to broader corporate financial initiatives through dashboarding, analysis, and ad hoc reporting. The Program Reporting Analyst will collaborate with cross-functional teams to prepare, analyze, and validate reports for carriers and distribution partners, ensuring accuracy and consistency across deliverables. What You’D Be Doing:
Carrier And Distribution Partner Reporting:
- Analyze and validate monthly carrier and distribution partner financial data for accuracy.
- Liaison with cross-functional team to solve reporting inefficiencies or inaccuracies.
- Evaluate reporting processes, recommend, and implement improvements.
- Maintain month end validation tools and update as necessary.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly carrier and distribution partner reporting.
- Monitor new product launches to ensure accurate inclusion in month end reporting.
- Maintain process documentation and control narrative.
Accounting and Ad-hoc Reporting, Dashboarding and Analysis:
- Develop and maintain financial dashboards that provide real-time visibility into key performance metrics, financial performance and decision-making insights
- Partner with data teams to ensure accuracy and consistency of financial reporting across multiple insurance products and carriers.
- Automate recurring financial and operational reporting processes to improve speed, accuracy, and scalability.
- Prepare reconciliations and variance analyses between policy administration systems, general ledger, and data warehouses.
- Support month-end and quarter-end close processes by providing data extracts, reconciliations, and custom reports, as needed.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to translate complex financial and operational data into actionable insights.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory reporting requirements while streamlining data workflows.
We’re looking for someone who has:
- 2+ years of experience in financial, operational, or regulatory reporting, preferably in insurance, finance, or accounting environments
- Proven experience in working with large datasets, validating data accuracy, and resolving discrepancies
- Advanced Excel skills, including use of macros, pivot tables, Power Pivot, and complex formulas
- Strong working knowledge of SQL, Power Query, and BI/reporting tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, SSRS)
- Experience with XML, Python, Amazon Redshift, and DOMO is a plus
- Ability to gain understanding of how internal applications and related Information Technology controls support achievement of business processing objectives
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail
- Effective communication skills with the ability to interface across multiple departments and organizational levels
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet tight deadlines, and operate independently
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Prior exposure to carrier or bordereau reporting processes.
- Familiarity with modern data architecture and tools used for automation and data validation.
