Job Overview
We are a fast-growing, private equity backed Mid-Market company with over $300M in revenue, pursuing an ambitious M&A-driven growth strategy. Our goal is to acquire $25M in incremental revenue per year — building towards $100M in the next 4 years — by executing a steady cadence of 6–10 acquisitions annually in the $3–10M range. We are seeking a Director, Head of Integration to lead our Integration Management Office (IMO) and ensure that acquisitions translate into sustained business success. As Head of Integration, you will be responsible for developing integration playbooks, managing cross-functional execution, and delivering synergies and outcomes from our acquisitions. This role requires both strategic leadership and hands-on execution — from building frameworks to rolling up your sleeves and driving operational workstreams.
Key Responsibilities
- Establish and lead the Integration Management Office, serving as the point of accountability for all post-close integration activities.
- Build, refine, and own integration playbooks, frameworks, and processes to ensure consistent, repeatable success across multiple acquisitions.
- Partner closely with corporate development, operations, finance, HR, IT, and other functions to drive alignment, accountability, and execution.
- Manage integration planning and execution across all workstreams, ensuring deal synergies are realized and key business outcomes are delivered.
- Lead cross-functional integration teams, providing clarity on priorities, timelines, risks, and interdependencies.
- Act as a trusted advisor to acquired management teams, ensuring a positive experience for employees, customers, and partners during the transition.
- Monitor integration progress, track synergy capture, and report regularly to executive leadership.
- Continuously improve integration methodologies by capturing lessons learned and incorporating feedback into future playbooks.
Qualifications
- 7–10 years of experience in consulting (Big 4 or equivalent) or corporate development, with a focus on M&A integration and/or large-scale program management.
- Prior experience running integration workstreams or full IMO programs.
- Strong program/project management skills, with the ability to coordinate complex, cross-functional initiatives.
- Proven ability to engage and influence senior leaders and operational teams across multiple disciplines.
- Hands-on, execution-oriented mindset: comfortable moving from high-level planning to day-to-day operational problem solving.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills; able to establish credibility with executives and acquired business leaders.
Preferred Attributes
- Manager or Senior Manager level at a Big 4 or equivalent consulting firm, or Director level in a corporate development/IMO function.
- Track record of delivering measurable synergies and business outcomes from acquisitions.
- Experience developing integration playbooks and frameworks from the ground up.
- High EQ, with the ability to manage change and guide teams through uncertainty.
