S&R and Inventory Specialist

We’re looking for a receiving and inventory specialist who will be responsible for maintaining material organization throughout the shop. Activities include: receiving all shipments, cataloging all inventory, maintaining inventory organization within our production facility, moving materials between production facilities, and supporting product shipments to customers. As the first employee in this group, you are proactive, a problem solver, comfortable working in a flexible environment, and interested in establishing procedures for the company moving forward.  

What You'Ll Do:

• Physically receive all deliveries, document and log all received items in company ERP or in shared spreadsheet.    
• Verify that all material is received in good condition and conforming with accompanying paperwork, checking for damage, correct part numbers, quantity, and confirming non-counterfeit.  
• Store parts and materials in bins, drawers, and racks, identifying part and stored location. Label and tag all materials with ERP stickers and hand label as needed for easy identification and use by shop floor.  
• Perform picking and kitting functions as necessary and log activities in company ERP.  
• Monitor shelf-life of stored materials, rotate out expired material as needed, and inform supply chain team of any waste or expired material.  
• Work closely with supply chain team to perform monthly inventory counts. 
• Responsible for material transfer between facilities as needed. Drive company vehicle and transport material between locations.     
• Monitor inventory stock levels and inform supply chain team when replenishment is required.  
• Maintain inventory and production organization. 
• Support fulfillment of customer deliveries, including physical packaging of goods, documentation of fulfillment in ERP system, and when necessary, completing deliveries to customers.  

Basic Qualifications:

• Being awesome! Be the kind of person you want to work with! 
• 2+ years of forklift experience.  
• Comfortable driving company vehicles including vans, trucks, and box trucks.  
• Proficient computer and written skills including email communication, Microsoft Office, and experience interfacing with ERP and warehousing software.
• Experience working within a manufacturing and production environment.
• Experience with barcode scanning to document material movement.   
• Position may require extended hours or weekend work. 

Bonus Points:

• 2+ years of experience in a Logistics, Inventory, Receiving or Material Handling role. 
• Experience working within a manufacturing and production environment within the aerospace industry. 

Additional Requirements:

• Valid CA Driver’s License with clean driving record.  
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted.  
• Lifting, standing, climbing, bending, grasping, sitting, pulling, pushing, stooping, stretching, and carrying.  
• Must be willing to work in an open-aired environment lacking temperature controls.  
• Must be able to work overtime and/or weekends as needed to meet critical deadlines.
