We are currently looking to hire a Director of Global Assistance to join our Corporate Team in Hereford, England, United Kingdom. 

*This position requires working on-site from our Hereford, UK Headquarters. 

Job Description

The Director of Global Assistance will be expected to support strategic leadership to the Crisis Management Team and Medical and Security operational teams, providing guidance and support to ensure a quality service is delivered and the business unit aligns with the company vision and strategic plan.

Responsibilities

  • Support management decision-making by providing input on operational performance, client needs, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Execute the activity roadmap and ensure the Crisis Management Team, Medical, and Security teams remain productive with clear priorities and accountability.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with client stakeholders, supporting delivery and identifying opportunities for added value.
  • Implement process improvements to streamline activities, reduce duplication, and improve efficiency within the business unit.
  • Promote a Customer-First mindset across the team to strengthen service delivery and client satisfaction.
  • Track and report on KPIs to monitor performance, drive insights, and ensure follow-through on actions.
  • Communicate clear performance expectations and guidelines to staff.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in security and business or a related area.
  • Security management experience in a high-intensity, high-volume environment.
  • Experience leading teams of diverse employees.
  • Strong business acumen and customer service focus with the ability to understand how the business operates.
  • Experience in developing and leading teams focused on process alignment and continuous improvement
  • Experience in creating and interpreting metrics representing functional performance, benchmarking goals, and comparative outcomes
  • Experience developing in-house platforms for internal processes preferred
  • Proven confidence and effectiveness in managing high-intensity, dynamic situations.
  • This position requires up to 10% travel.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Extensive collaboration with government agencies such as the National Crime Agency (NCA), law enforcement, intelligence, and security services on complex, high-risk cases including kidnap, extortion, and critical incident response.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ direct experience leading the resolution of critical incidents, including but not limited to kidnap-for-ransom (K&R), evacuation operations, hostage negotiation support, and security emergencies in high-risk or hostile environments.
  • Proven ability to coordinate and lead cross-functional crisis response teams under pressure, ensuring timely decision-making, stakeholder communication, and operational execution in line with legal, ethical, and regulatory standards.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing sensitive, high-stakes situations involving international jurisdictions, media interest, and reputational risk.
  • Familiarity with crisis communication protocols, duty of care obligations, and continuity planning, with a strategic mindset for organisational resilience and threat mitigation.
  • Experience briefing executive leadership and government officials, and contributing to post-incident reviews, intelligence sharing, and security policy development.
