What You’Ll Do:

We are seeking a Senior Manager, Financial Planning and Analysis to support Kailera’s Research and Development and Technical Operations functions. This role will report to the Head of Financial Planning and Analysis and will work closely with company leadership across the R&D, Tech Ops, and Finance functions to provide a decision-making advantage to leadership while also delivering accurate financial forecasts, insightful analyses, and scalable reporting processes. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, analytical, and thrives in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.

Required location: Waltham, MA (onsite or hybrid 2-3 days per week).

Responsibilities:

• Support the development and execution of the annual budget, quarterly forecasts, and long-range planning processes in support of large scale, international clinical trials
• Partner with key business leaders to understand business drivers and provide financial insights that support strategic and operational decision-making
• Prepare and analyze monthly budget vs. actual reports, identifying key variances and trends as well as maintaining track of opportunities and risks to the financial plan
• Maintain and enhance financial models to support scenario planning, headcount tracking, and program-level forecasting
• Assist in the preparation of materials for executive leadership, board meetings, and investor presentations
• Collaborate with the Accounting team during month-end close to ensure accurate accruals and financial reporting
• Contribute to the development of scalable FP&A processes, tools, and systems (e.g., Oracle PBCS, NetSuite)
• Support ad hoc financial analyses, including business development opportunities, vendor negotiations, and cost optimization initiatives

Required Qualifications:

• 8+ years of progressive experience in FP&A, preferably in biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, or healthcare
• Strong financial modeling and analytical skills with attention to detail
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to collaborate across functions
• Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint; experience with financial planning tools (e.g., Oracle PBCS, NetSuite) preferred
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
• A proactive, problem-solving mindset and a willingness to “roll up your sleeves”

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, or healthcare is strongly preferred
• MBA or CPA is preferred

Education:

• Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field; MBA a plus

Salary Range$136,000—$170,000 USD
