CIBC’s Summer Internship Program is a dynamic, 10-week experience (June through August) designed to complement your academic training and support your career aspirations. Centered around the core theme of Learn, Connect, Grow, the program offers a comprehensive blend of opportunities to expand your skills and professional network.

As a Private Wealth Intern in the Atlanta office, you will:

  • Gain unique exposure: Work closely with our CEO and senior Private Wealth team members, supporting day-to-day executive responsibilities and gaining firsthand insight into leadership decision-making.
  • Participate in strategic projects: Collaborate with the Operating Committee and assist with cross-functional initiatives, providing exposure to multiple areas within Private Wealth.

Learn: Engage in hands-on assignments, structured training, and development of both technical and analytical skills.

Connect: Build relationships across the bank, interact with employees and fellow interns, and meet with our executive leadership team.

Grow: Benefit from mentorship, leadership guidance, and community outreach opportunities, while developing both soft and hard skills essential for your future career.

Who You Are

  • Minimum 3.0 GPA
  • University or college student majoring in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, or a related field with an expected graduation date between December 2026 and June 2027
  • Interested in the stock market and financial services

At CIBC, we offer a competitive total rewards package. This role has an expected hourly rate of $25.00 per hour for the State of Illinois market based on experience, qualifications, and location of the position. CIBC offers a full range of benefits and programs to meet our intern's needs; including 401(k) contribution, Paid Time Off (including Sick Leave and Vacation), and Holidays, in addition to other special perks reserved for our team members.
