Role
As an Analyst on the Capital Markets Initiatives and Project Delivery team, you will support the delivery of business and regulatory initiatives across Capital Markets.

- End-to-End Delivery Exposure: Work across the full lifecycle of initiatives—from ideation to execution—supporting high-impact projects across Capital Markets.
- Product-Led & Agile Environment: Gain hands-on experience in a scaled agile delivery model (SAFe), collaborating with cross-functional teams including Technology, Operations, and Business stakeholders.
- AI & Innovation Focus: Contribute to initiatives that explore the application of AI and automation in Capital Markets processes, data analysis, and risk management.
- Strategic Visibility: Engage with senior stakeholders and gain exposure to multiple lines of business, enhancing your understanding of the Capital Markets ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support planning and execution of strategic and regulatory initiatives using agile delivery practices.
- Map and analyze end-to-end business processes, identifying key controls, systems, and dependencies.
- Conduct data analysis and reporting using tools such as Excel, Power BI, and SQL.
- Assist in the development of AI-driven solutions and automation opportunities.
- Prepare documentation, workflows, and surveys to assess current state and identify improvement areas.
- Collaborate with stakeholders across Global Markets, Technology, and Operations.
- Contribute to operational risk governance and control testing activities.
- Stay current on industry trends, regulatory developments, and BMO’s strategic priorities.
Qualifications
We’re looking for candidates who are:
- Detail-oriented and able to work independently with a high degree of accountability.
- Critical thinkers who can identify problems, propose solutions, and execute effectively.
- Data-savvy, with experience in data analysis, visualization, and basic programming.
Preferred Skills:
- Familiarity with AI concepts, machine learning, or automation tools.
- Experience with SQL, Python, R, or other programming languages.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and Power BI.
- Understanding of Capital Markets products, operations, and regulatory landscape (preferred but not required).
- Basic knowledge of the financial services industry
Eligibility Criteria
- Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or Master’s program (non-MBA).
- Expected graduation date: December 2026 or April 2027.
- Must be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or legally authorized to work in Canada without future sponsorship.

Salary:
$45,500.00 - $84,500.00Pay Type:

Salaries will vary based on factors such as location, skills, experience, education, and qualifications for the role, and may include a commission structure. Salaries for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on number of hours regularly worked. For commission roles, the salary listed above represents BMO Financial Group’s expected target for the first year in this position.
