Senior/Expert Cloud Platform Engineer

R&D unit in KTI is responsible for developing digital services at KONE. It’s the development engine for our Digital Services such as Office Flow, KONE 24/7 Connected Services  and Partnership Ecosystem.

We are looking for a Senior/Expert Cloud Platform Engineer to join our team in Espoo, Finland to manage our platform offerings that support KONE digital products. We work in a hybrid way, with a mix of office days and remote days.

Become part of a dynamic team managing large scale AWS Organizations of over 400 AWS accounts and smaller GCP organization.

Role Description

• Administrating AWS Organizations containing of over 400 AWS accounts, mainly everything as code
• Build state of art Cloud Governance and Cloud Security tooling in AWS and Google Cloud
• Helping cloud solution teams to innovate and make secure, cost effective, resilient and scalable cloud environments providing supporting tools and necessary guardrails.
• Self-driven approach for continuous development
• Analytically challenge current setup and development decisions
• Developing Account management pipelines using tools like CloudFormation StackSets, Step functions, Systems Manager, Lambda, etc.
• Implement & Manage organizational level Cloud Security policies (SCP, RCP, Firewall manager, etc.)
• Collaborate closely with units like Cybersecurity, Architecture and agile execution teams to build solutions addressing the common shared goals of the cloud platform
• Collaborating with team members who are responsible Software Delivery related processes and tooling like common Gitlab/Github (including common pipelines and runner environments), SonarQube, Azure deployments, Artifactory, etc.
• Collaborate closely with units like Cybersecurity, Architecture and agile execution teams to build solutions addressing the common shared goals of the cloud platform

In order to be successful in this role

• At least 10 years of general experience in cloud, software development or system administration
• At least 5 years of experience working with AWS cloud governance related tools
• Knowledge on native AWS tooling relating Cloud security and Governance like AWS Orgnaizations, ControlTower, SCP’s, Firewall manager
• AWS automation using tools like Step Functions, Lambda, CodePipeline
• Infrastructure as code with tools like CloudFormation, Terraform and CDK
• Strong scripting skills (e.g., Python, Bash,  Typescript) for automation and task optimization
• Experience with version control systems (Git), continuous integration tools
• Experience of also GCP and Azure platforms would be considered a definite plus
• Kafka environment (especially MSK)
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills 
• Good to have hands-on contribution in critical aspects of cloud platform engineering like platform level cross region backup & restore, monitoring infrastructure, platform scalability and operational architecture.
