Position Overview:
RTX has an opportunity for a Wide Area Network (WAN) Analyst to join our Enterprise Services team. The function is responsible for working with the team to develop the automation WAN network services to all divisions to successfully enable our expanding business and assure operational delivery of critical functions and services.
The role will be responsible for assisting in building, support, maintenance, and overall operation of the RTX network.
What You Will Do:
- Automate the configuration, installation, maintenance, administration of RTX’s networks.
- Assist in the automation of daily checks, incident handling and service request handing in line with operating processes.
- Performs activities associated with the network infrastructure and telecommunications services. Including WAN routing, switching, encryption, security, optimization, VoIP, wireless and appropriate management tools, such as CA Spectrum, Netscout, Statseeker, and SolarWinds.
- Supports network configuration standards and device hardening across data and voice communications networks.
- Develop and maintain network documentation, including diagrams, configurations, and procedures.
- Completes preventative maintenance to maintain service operation in line with operating standards and service level agreements.
- Assists in the implementation of projects and programs, ensuring compliance with the necessary delivery and governance processes.
- Maintains network configuration and security integrity through CI management and documented procedures.
- Experience building automation of network configurations and integration with network tools using various various scripting tools (Ansible, Python, jinja2, ,etc.)
- Experience with configuring, troubleshooting WAN configurations, routing and switching, SD-WAN and DMVPN
- Experience with routing protocols (BGP, EIGRP, OSPF)
- Knowledge of network systems, including design, troubleshooting, infrastructure (hardware, software and telecommunications), maintenance and operations
- Experience problem solving and troubleshooting distributed network systems
Qualifications You Must Have:
- Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and less than 2 years prior relevant experience.
- 1-3 years of experience supporting Network routing/switching technologies
Qualifications We Prefer:
- Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) Certification
- Familiarity with network monitoring and management tools.
- Knowledge and understanding of industry best practices.
- Ability to travel.
- Participate in on-call rotation for after-hours support and emergency response.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
- Ability to learn complex systems and business processes and define requirements for solutions.
- Able to work well with global teams, including time-zone flexibility.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence technical experts in other technical competencies.

This is a hybrid role, eligible candidates must reside within commuting distance from Andover, MA

The salary range for this role is 55,000 USD - 107,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
