Hourly Rate:

AE-RA-Tuteur / TA-RA-Tutor : $31.89 ou/or $50.25 (2024-2025)

The academic year starts on September 1 and ends on August 31.

Undergraduate students will be paid at the lower rate; while graduate students will be paid at the higher rate.

These rates do not included vacation pay nor statutory pay.

These rates will be applied until a new collective agreement is ratified. Retro will be paid after the ratification.

Requirements And Nature Of Work:

Nature of the Position

Laboratory – Assist students in the laboratory and elsewhere; grade laboratory reports; ensure implementation of safety protocols in the lab.

Minimum Qualifications

The candidate must have successfully completed one year of general chemistry, one year of organic chemistry, and CHM 2520, 2523, 2532 or their equivalents.

Any individual who is not a graduate (Master’s or PhD) student in Chemistry must pass a qualification test (unless already completed).

Must have successfully completed the Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) and Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) training workshops.

Additional Information

Attendance at six mandatory lab meetings is required. These meetings take place on Mondays from 9:30 AM to 10:00 AM.
