Hourly Rate:

AE-RA-Tuteur / TA-RA-Tutor : $31.89 ou/or $50.25 (2024-2025)

The academic year starts on September 1 and ends on August 31.

Undergraduate students will be paid at the lower rate; while graduate students will be paid at the higher rate.

These rates do not included vacation pay nor statutory pay.

These rates will be applied until a new collective agreement is ratified. Retro will be paid after the ratification.

Requirements And Nature Of Work:

Assist students in the laboratory and in other related tasks; grade laboratory reports. Supervise quizzes, midterms, and the final exam. Invigilate the final exam.

  • Minimum Qualifications
  • The candidate must have successfully completed one year of general chemistry and one year of physical chemistry (CHM2730, CHM3140, CHM3771, or their equivalents).

Anyone who is not a graduate student (Master’s or PhD) in Chemistry must pass a qualification test (unless already completed).

Candidates must have successfully completed the Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) training and the Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA) workshop.
