Managing Director, Data & Analytics - SLC Management
What is in it for you:
The Managing Director, Data & Analytics, is a key architect of the firm’s data and analytics vision. This executive will be charged with formulating the overarching strategy, driving its execution across the organization, and ensuring that the governance function is an enabler for innovation.
The Managing Director will be responsible for building, leading, and nurturing a high-performing team of data professionals—including data engineers, data analysts, governance specialists, and AI engineers—cultivating a collaborative and growth-oriented culture. In the process, the successful candidate will help develop reusable & governed data assets, implement change management processes to drive the data strategy forward, and partner with other technology leaders to develop architectural best practices.
The role will also emphasize collaboration with other technology and business leaders to facilitate and ensure the successful adoption of data, analytics, and AI solutions that are aligned to business objectives throughout the firm.
This position reports directly to the SMD, Head of Digital Solutions and Innovation, and will work closely with other senior executives to ensure seamless integration of data, analytics, and AI across all areas of the business.
What You Will Do:
Strategy Development & Execution:
- Devise and communicate a compelling data and analytics strategy aligned to the firm’s long-term objectives.
- Defines and builds stakeholder buy-in data technology process and capability vision, platform roadmap (prioritization, resources/squads, budget, stakeholder reporting) and accountability for successful measurable execution of the roadmap
Execution Excellence:
- Oversee the delivery of data initiatives from concept to deployment.
- Champion modern delivery methodologies (agile, data products, data mesh) and best practices to accelerate speed-to-market and maximize business value.
- Modernize existing data-warehouses leveraging the modern capabilities as appropriate.
Team Leadership & Development:
- Build, inspire, and foster a diverse, high-performing team of data professionals, specifically including data engineers, data analysts, governance specialists, and AI engineers.
- Develop future leaders and maintain high level of engagement.
- Nurture talent and promote a culture of continuous learning, innovation, and accountability.
Governance As Enablement:
- Establish governance frameworks and processes that empower business units while ensuring data integrity, quality, and compliance.
- Position the governance function as a strategic enabler, supporting innovation and agility.
Stakeholder Collaboration & Adoption:
- Collaborate proactively with technology and business leaders across the organization to drive alignment and ensure the adoption of data capabilities.
- Engage with leaders in investment, distribution, & partner functions to ensure initiatives are tailored to organizational needs.
- Translate technical insights into actionable business strategy and effectively communicate vision to all stakeholders, fostering a culture of shared ownership and adoption.
Innovation Leadership:
- Partner with Architecture and Innovation function on emerging technologies and foster a culture of experimentation.
- Evaluate and implement modern Data and Analytical architecture solutions such as Data Mesh, Data Virtualization, Snowflake, AWS Cloud, Data Visualization and other to achieve desired business outcomes.
- Actively participates in the industry, seeks, and promotes creative thinking, cultural changes, and adoption of best and modern Technology capabilities from best-in-class 3rd party asset management companies or other industries.
What You Need To Succeed:
- At least 10+ years’ experience in modern data technologies and a strong understanding of Asset Management business
- Team leadership – building strong teams to implement and optimize advanced data technology capabilities for asset management.
- Proven process implementation track record emphasizing true, end-to-end journeys (front office to back office)
- Strong leadership, collaboration, and influence skills
- Strong, multi-discipline background and experience encompassing business management, technology, and enterprise project implementation leadership.
- Strong decision making, outcome driven, influencing, leading change and communication skills.
- Out-the-box creative thinking.

140,000/140 000 - 225,000/225 000We are committed to pay transparency and equity. The base salary range for this role is competitive and we strive to ensure that compensation is fair and equitable. Your actual base salary will be determined by your unique skills, qualifications, experience, education, and geographic location.
