R&D Product Engineer, Banska Bystrica (m/f/*)

Impact You’ll Make in this Role

As a Product Engineer for R&D in Banska you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world.

Here, you will make an impact by:

• Providing Technical Leadership and Product Engineering support to an assigned core product fall protection portfolio and may maintain design control for assigned products.
• Leading and supporting cross-functional product improvement projects that will enable accelerated business growth and further our competitive position in the marketplace.
• Leading and overseeing change management as it relates to product design changes driven by product and quality improvements, supply changes, regulatory requirements, and cost reduction.
• Driving continuous improvement mindset by using a multitude of methodologies that include project management (PMP), PPU, Six Sigma, and DOE/statistical analysis.
• Serving as an effective team leader and collaborator, embracing diversity and multi-cultural global collaboration, and promoting working relationships across geographies.

Your Skills and Expertise 

To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M is looking for candidates who meet following minimum requirements:

• Education: bachelor's or master’s degree, preferably in mechanical engineering
• Past experience in R&D field
• Language skills: proficiency in Slovak and communicative English
• Key skills: project management

Additional knowledge / nice-to-have skills / preferred qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

• Drafting (AutoCad, SolidWorks, CREO)
• Manufacturing or production process improvements
• Mechanical design
• Experience with fall protection standards

Job Specifics:

Location: Banska, Slovakia

• This role has on-site working model, with the employee working at least four days a week in the office at Banska plant
• Travel expectations: May include up to 5% [domestic/international]

Relocation: Not authorized

• Working pattern: full time
• Remuneration details: 1800 - 2700 Euro gross/monthly, depending on skills and experience, plus an excellent benefits package.
