About The Team:
Our Proposition team oversees the development and execution of the value propositions and go-to-market strategies for our B2B offerings, with a keen focus on clearly articulating the value we bring to customers and how we support their workflows. Proposition owners collaborate closely with Product, Design, Sales, and Marketing stakeholders to coordinate the execution of their offering within their target markets.
About The Role:
Reporting to the SVP and GM, Geopolitical Risk, we are seeking an experienced and visionary candidate to lead the overhaul and execution of our value proposition and go-to-market strategy for the US Government. This is a core focus area for growth of our market-leading content and data offerings, and this position is being created at a critical moment in the evolution of our broader global government go-to-market strategy.
You Will:
- Develop a clear value proposition for Dow Jones B2B Products, with an early focus on Factiva and Global Risk Insights offerings, for the US Government
- Develop and demonstrate the success of a go-to-market and sales strategy for this value proposition for the US Government
- Act as a player-coach: personally lead high-value USG deals to accelerate near-term growth, while building scalable sales channels and partnerships that enable sustainable expansion.
- Collaborate with executive leadership to define long-term growth goals
- Create and manage key partnerships with prime contractors, data marketplaces, and other facilitators to streamline US Government sales
- Serve as Dow Jones’ senior ambassador to the U.S. Government community, representing our solutions to agency executives, procurement officials, and strategic partners.
- Be the lead expert on selling to the US Government within Dow Jones
- Deliver measurable revenue growth, including at least 15% expansion in FY26 and building a plan to achieve 25%+ annual growth in subsequent years.
You Have:
- Minimum of 15 years of experience in sales or go-to-market strategy; with at least 10 focused primarily on the US Government
- Proven track record of scaling US Government sales for larger organizations with a history of exceeding targets
- Deep experience selling content and data sets as well as SaaS platforms
- Proven ability to navigate US Government procurement vehicles (IDIQs, GWACs, BPAs) and establish teaming agreements with prime contractors and resellers.
- Knowledge of and familiarity with key stakeholders for content purchasing at major US Government agencies and organizations
- Outstanding communication and presentation skills
- Demonstrated ability to lead and influence cross-functional teams
- Experience in growing a team around a US Government or sales strategy
- History of successful stakeholder management at executive levels
