Role Responsibilities:

A strategy and M&A analyst supporting the company's long-term growth by analyzing market trends, developing strategic initiatives, and evaluating potential mergers and acquisitions (M&A) to fill capability gaps.

Key responsibilities include market research, building complex financial models, performing due diligence, advising on deal structures, and preparing presentations for senior management. Success in this role requires strong financial modeling, analytical, and problem-solving skills, along with effective communication to align strategies with deal opportunities.

  • Strategic Planning: Support the creation and implementation of a company’s long-term strategies.
  • Market Analysis: Conduct in-depth research into market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments to identify growth opportunities.
  • M&A Support: Identify potential acquisition targets, evaluate them, assist with due diligence, and help with post-merger integration.
  • Financial Analysis & Modeling: Build and maintain complex financial models, perform valuations, and conduct discounted cash flow and multiple analyses to determine a deal's value.
  • Executive Support: Prepare reports, presentations, and insights to help senior leadership make informed strategic and M&A decisions.

Role Requirements:

To be successful in this role, end- to-end experience in strategic planning & digital integration.

  • Experience of 3-5+ years in Payment, Remittance and/or Digital Ecosystem would be preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics; preferred to have a Master’s degree in Tech/Business Administration or similar.
  • Past product/business/project experience in similar fintech space; role will also be in-charge of current & future products within the ecosystem.
  • Experience working with cross functional teams across APAC region
  • Having an Entrepreneurial mindset

  • Financial Modeling: Advanced capabilities in creating, maintaining, and utilizing financial models.
  • Data Analysis: Proficiency in data analysis tools is a significant asset.
  • Microsoft Office Suite: Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint is essential.

Soft Skills:

  • Analytical & Critical Thinking: Crucial for dissecting complex information and identifying key insights.
  • Communication: The ability to effectively communicate findings and build consensus among stakeholders is vital.
  • Problem-Solving: Essential for navigating the complexities of deal-making and strategic planning.
