Job Summary: This internship provides an opportunity for undergraduates and post-graduates to gain practical work experience aligned with their area of study while completing their degree or following their recent graduation. Interns will contribute to real-world projects and develop professional skills in a supportive team environment.
12- Week Summer Experience

Essential Job Duties And Responsibilities:
- Assist project systems engineering activities for the delivery of program milestones.
- Assist with systems engineering activities that feed product development and testing.
- Contribute to Cubic’s organisational objectives by supporting a variety of projects.
- Complete assigned tasks under the guidance of a supervisor, ensuring timely delivery.
- Attend team meetings and contribute where appropriate.
- Build positive working relationships with team members by sharing information, knowledge, and skills.
- Actively participate in learning and development opportunities.
- Identify areas for technical and personal growth in consultation with a supervisor, and address skill gaps through on-the-job training.
- Assist team members in achieving team goals and deliverables.
General Duties And Responsibilities:
- Comply with Cubic’s Quality Management System
- Comply with Cubic Occupational Health, Safety and Environment policies and procedures
- Comply with security in accordance with established policies and procedures of the organisations
- Comply with Cubic Human Resources Procedures
- Other duties as requested
Minimum Job Requirements:
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Engineering/Computer Science – recent graduate of a degree recognised by SESA or Engineers Australia, or in the process of completing studies towards a degree (3rd year minimum) recognised by SESA or Engineers Australia
Skills/Experience/Knowledge
- Interest in pursuing a career in systems engineering, with a focus on innovative systems and traffic management solutions for the Transportation industry
- Competent in the use of Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Familiarity with online collaboration tools (e.g., Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive)
