Ready to launch your career in automation and robotics? Dematic is offering an exciting opportunity to join our Apprenticeship Program as an Apprentice Mechanical Fitter, starting in February 2026.

You’ll begin your journey at our customer site in Tarneit, VIC (West Melbourne), with the potential to rotate across other major customer sites in the West and the North of Melbourne (such as Craigeburn, Somerton, Broadmeadows, Truganina, Tarneit and Epping) throughout your apprenticeship.

The Opportunity

We are currently offering apprenticeships in:

  • Mechanical (Certificate III in Engineering – Mechanical Trade)

Upon completion, you will be fully certified, with experience in complex industrial environments and have access to a variety of career options across the national Dematic business including: Field Service or On-site Maintenance Technician, Controls Engineer, Electrical Engineer or Project Site Supervisor positions.

Who We're Looking For

We want to hear from you if you’re:

  • Finishing Year 12 and ready to start your career in 2026
  • Looking to begin or continue a 1st, 2nd, or 3rd year apprenticeship, or are a mature age candidate
  • Passionate about all things Mechanical, robotics, automation, gadgets, mechanical systems or cars
  • A strong communicator with an interest in maths or science
  • Motivated, curious, and ready to learn
  • An Australian citizen or permanent resident with full working rights
  • Holding a current driver’s licence and reliable transport (preferred)
