Overview

The Fleet Manager’s primary duty is to provide analytical and front-line support of all Buc-ee’s Fleet Vehicle maintenance and repair.  Provide support to fleet drivers and various departments on fleet related issues on a daily basis. 

NOTE: This is an IN-OFFICE opportunity only, located in the SH 288 and Hwy 518 area.

The essential job functions include, but are not limited to:

  • Aggregation and comprehensive analysis of Fleet maintenance cost and performance data with reporting to the Director of Facilities & Maintenance
  • Primarily responsible for reviewing and providing initial troubleshooting for fleet vehicle issues to drivers and guide them on proper next steps.
  • Develop and maintain a group of providers/repair shops in the various markets where Buc-ee’s Fleet Vehicles are operated.
  • Continuous tracking of open repair issues and communication with service providers to ensure timely completion of approved repair and administrative closure.
  • Review and approval of maintenance and repair estimates at or below approved monetary limit.
  • Maintain vehicle gps tracking website information as well as managing removal/install of trackers on fleet vehicles.
  • Maintain vehicle reports from tacking website and support department heads on tracking report requests.
  • Make repair/replace recommendations on repairs that exceed approval limit or major repairs that may exceed vehicle current value.
  • Perform other duties as required and/or assigned

The position requirements include, but are not limited to:

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred
  • BA/BS in Business, Accounting, Statistics, Mathematics, or related discipline strongly preferred
  • BA/BS in Business, Accounting, Statistics, Mathematics, or related discipline strongly preferred
  • High school diploma/GED required
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in vehicle fleet management or related field
  • Experience working with Excel and proficiency with other MS Office applications (Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Previous hands on experience in vehicle repairs preferred
