General Dynamics Information Technology (GDIT) is seeking an experienced Continuous Diagnostic and Mitigation (CDM) Technical Lead/SME to support one of our federal customers on an enterprise cyber program in the DC metropolitan area. This hybrid position offers a combination of remote work and periodic on-site support and customer meetings. The ideal candidate will have extensive proficiency in cybersecurity tools, particularly those listed on the CDM Program's Approved Products List (APL) in the Hardware and Software Asset Management and Vulnerability Management categories, along with robust experience in network security and data integration.
How You Will Make an Impact
- Lead the technical implementation and management of CDM capabilities, focusing on Hardware and Software Asset Management and Vulnerability Management.
- Utilize cybersecurity tools from the CDM Program's Approved Products List (APL) to enhance the security posture of the federal customer.
- Manage and integrate data with the CDM dashboard, ensuring accurate and timely reporting.
- Provide expertise on the Elastic Stack for data collection, analysis, and visualization.
- Implement and manage network security measures to protect the enterprise infrastructure.
- Conduct regular assessments to identify vulnerabilities and ensure continuous monitoring and improvement.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate CDM solutions into the overall cybersecurity framework.
- Provide detailed verbal and written communication to explain complex security concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders, as well as executive-level reporting.
- Stay updated on the latest trends and best practices in CDM and cybersecurity.
- Support and conduct engagements with federal customer representatives to address CDM program requirements.
What You'll Need to Succeed
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or related field.
- Active CISSP certification.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience utilizing cybersecurity tools listed on the CDM Program's Approved Products List (APL) in the Hardware and Software Asset Management and Vulnerability Management categories.
- Relevant experience with the Elastic Stack, CDM dashboard, and data integration.
- Extensive proficiency in cybersecurity tools and network security.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities for identifying and addressing security issues and root causes.
- Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills for explaining complex security concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders, as well as executive-level reporting.
- Proven experience working with third-party vendors and cross-functional teams.
Desired Qualifications
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or related field.
- Additional relevant certifications such as CEH, CISM, or CDM-specific certifications.
- Familiarity with automated monitoring and diagnostics tools.
- Knowledge of continuous monitoring and threat detection techniques.
- Experience with project management tools and practices.
- Certificate of Proficiency for any of the products used in CDM (ForeScout CounterAct, Tenable Nessus, RSA Archer GRA, Splunk, Red Hat Fuse, Vormetric, HP Micro CMDB, Rabbit MQ) is desirable.
