Imagine using your experience to help people around the world hear again! Cochlear is seeking a highly motivated, enthusiastic university student to join on a casual basis (around 3 days per week) as a Talent Acquisition Intern.
This is a paid internship opportunity for an undergraduate University Student to join our People & Culture team, based in our global headquarters in Macquarie University. We also offer flexible working arrangement. This is a fantastic role which will develop your business acumen whilst working in a global business environment. ( Please refer to the requirements of the role below)
As a Talent Acquisition Intern, you will provide high quality support throughout the entirety of the recruitment process – from supporting the recruitment strategy to onboarding new employees! You will also be involved in exciting projects across other areas of the People & Culture department.
This is a brilliant opportunity to build strong working relationships, with the potential for an eventual pathway into supporting other processes within the employee life-cycle.
Your initial responsibilities will include…
- Coordinate diaries to schedule meetings and interviews.
- Share interview details verbally and in writing.
- Help draft and post job ads on relevant platforms.
- Respond promptly to queries from managers, staff, candidates, and referees.
- Conduct reference checks via phone or online.
- Administer online assessments as needed.
- Support projects that enhance capability and build personal skills.
- Assist with reconciling Workday HRIS data monthly and resolve discrepancies.
- Other ad hoc duties
Role Requirements:
- Native Japanese speaker with proficient English skills is a must
- HR or related undergraduate with strong academics
- Skilled at multitasking and meeting deadlines
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail
- Proficient in MS Office – Word, excel and PPT
- Strong customer service and stakeholder engagement
- Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills
- Able to work independently and in a team
- Understands confidentiality and privacy principles
- HR internship experience and familiarity with ATS Workday highly valued
