$62.15 - $93.25Major Responsibilities:
- Identifies and partners with key partners to initiate and implement projects that drive Access and Opportunity, while building consensus on project portfolio and roadmap.
- Drives and builds synergies across the Access and Opportunity function implementation plans to include insights across patient experience, teammate experience and business growth in collaboration with identified leaders.
- Advises in the design of proactive and executing Access & Opportunity initiatives, managing strategic partnerships, and leveraging business intelligence to enhance function operations.
- Consults with leaders on the development of key patient centered equitable care policies and ensures equitable operational performance within the operations support area.
- Partners with operational, clinical and quality leaders implement appropriate data collection to support the advancement of Access & Opportunity strategic initiatives
- Designs and drives a tactical strategic plan for the system that is in line with the benchmarking roadmap to build policies and practices related to the equity and inclusion of diverse patients and communities served.
- Responsible for identifying and disseminating culturally appropriate and evidence-based education for teammates
- Embeds Access and Opportunity lens on internal and external forums and committees, as requested. Maintains a working knowledge of federal, state and local changes that potentially affect quality and care management practices.
- Participates in the analysis of new program opportunities from a diversity and inclusion lens, on a system-wide level as well as externally, and creates cost savings, profitable revenue, and market share growth that benefits the communities we serve.
- Integrates research and provides insight to emerging trends in business operations system-wide and its impact/application to Advocate Health’s Access & Opportunity programs. Recommends changes to strategic plans, project scope, benchmarks, timing, and budgets as needed.
- Supports human resources responsibilities for staff which include interviewing and selection of new teammates, promotions, staff development, performance evaluations, compensation changes, resolution of employee concerns, corrective actions, terminations, and overall employee morale.
- Develops and recommends operating and capital budgets and controls expenditures within approved budget objectives.
Responsible for understanding and adhering to the organization's Code of Ethical Conduct and for ensuring that personal actions, and the actions of employees supervised, comply with the policies, regulations and laws applicable to the organization's business
Licensure, Registration, And/Or Certification Required:
- None Required.
Education Required:
- Master's Degree in Public Health or related field, or
- Master's Degree in Health Care Administration or related field.
- Bachelor's Degree in Business or related field.
- Bachelor's Degree in Operations Management, or
Experience Required:
- Typically requires 10 years of experience in workforce diversity, healthcare operations, project management, and/or adult education/instructional design.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required:
- Proven ability to work effectively with multi-cultural/ethnic/diverse populations.
- Significant depth of knowledge and scope of experience in project management and change management.
- Ability to work in a collaborative, interdependent manner with colleagues and clients.
- Excellent training and organization development design and evaluation skills.
- Demonstrated experience in executing strategic/ tactical plans to meet business objectives in a large healthcare system.
- Knowledge of diversity and inclusion workforce, workplace and marketplace enablers
- Ability to manage a wide variety of projects simultaneously and function autonomously to meet the needs of a diverse client base.
- Demonstrated analytical skills to gather interpret and organize information for preparing and providing appropriate analytics on the efficacy of the diversity & inclusion initiative.
- Excellent communication skills to understand and meet the needs of a diverse population.
- Experience in initiative prioritization, developing process requirements, balanced scorecards, and communication plans, performing risk assessments for quality assurance, and driving the implementation of change.
- Extensive understanding of healthcare operations, philosophy, strategic vision, and goals to improve efficiencies.
