Overview
Join Netflix's Live UI team and help build the next generation of innovative product experiences at an unprecedented global scale. Our team is responsible for the UI engineering and architecture that powers new Live viewing experiences across Netflix. We collaborate closely with product, design, and engineering partners to bring these experiences to life for millions of members worldwide.
As a senior engineer, you will technically lead and have an outsized influence and impact on the future of the Netflix experience on Android. You'll help define the roadmap, drive key engineering initiatives, and mentor less-experienced engineers. Strong project management, estimation, and communication skills are key to delivering results in our fast-paced, collaborative environment. Our team is remote-friendly and includes members across the US.

What You’Ll Do
- Lead the architecture and development of new Live product features for the Netflix Android app.
- Write high-quality, testable, and performant code.
- Drive UI engineering best practices and initiatives to enhance quality, performance, and developer productivity.
- Collaborate with cross-functional partners in product and design to define and deliver on the product vision.
- Demonstrate strong project management and estimation skills to deliver high-impact work on schedule.
- Communicate proactively and effectively with teammates and stakeholders.
- Mentor and grow less-experienced Android engineers on the team.
- Influence the technical roadmap and direction of the team.
- Write high-quality, testable, and performant code.
What We’Re Looking For
- 6+ years of professional experience with Android development.
- Deep knowledge of Android UI frameworks and best practices.
- Expertise in Kotlin and Java.
- Strong track record of leading projects and delivering results.
- Excellent project management, estimation, communication, and collaboration skills.
- Strong architecture and system design skills.
- Passion for mentoring and growing less-experienced engineers.
- Alignment with Netflix's culture and values.
Nice To Have
- Experience with Jetpack Compose, Circuit, Dagger/Hilt, or GraphQL.
- Knowledge of or experience with Live streaming or Ad technologies.

We offer a competitive compensation package, carefully considering various factors to determine your personal top-of-market salary. The overall market range for roles in this area at Netflix is typically between $100,000 and $720,000. It is based on total compensation (vs. only base salary), which aligns with our unique compensation philosophy.
